This has been done twice before. All the old fluid was completely flushed out and new fluid was poured (by a big injection) and pressure made. There's no evident leakage of/around bleed valve.Originally posted by remortr View Postchange Dot4 brake fluid And change the hose completely.check the bleed valve if any oil leaks.
Does the Hose covered under warranty (Calling Satish
)?
Yes....

just had the cable checked this afternoon...it seems it was caught or stuck somewhere, the friendly mech at the SVC fixed it up and she's good as new nowOriginally posted by srini View Post@redapple:even I had the same problem.Renny suggested me to have the throttle cable checked.Did the same and voila,it was solved
...
...thank the lord. Remind me not to go to castrol bike zone for anything more than oil changes now.

Hey Boy !! U Got the same problem as mine. I was having the same problem for a long time after the SC person dropped some drops of polish by mistake while topping up the brake fluid. And after that

got that same spongy piece of $h|t. They have done the bleeding at least 3-4 times and got no result as it was getting same as before. they even spoiled my front mudguard by the acidic brake fluid. At last they have decided to change the full upper break assembly on handle bar (under warranty
) . Now it feels normal, no problem till now but fingers crossed. Try this my friend and ride slow until replacement.

sorry to hear about your disk brake prob, how about getting the pistons checked?I'll talk to TVS Engineer for this again. Last time I talked, he SMSes to get faulty part replaced, but then only brake pads were worn out, so I also thought that this might be the culprit. But as it has creeped-in again. Lets hope it is done under warranty (still 2500Kms remainingOriginally posted by rocker View PostAt last they have decided to change the full upper break assembly on handle bar (under warranty

Dont know if this is the right place to ask...but wanted to know if the RTR clutch and brake lever (chrome) are a direct fit to R15 or not...and whats the price ?Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Yeah they don't fit-my friend already tried it.Originally posted by rennycornelius View Post^^^^
i dont think that it'll be a direct fit...
why dont you get the fancy levers YAMAHA provides for the R15..??
Though it would have worked out much cheaper compared to the billet lever accessories from Yam, which are priced at Rs.1000&Rs.1100 respectively!
Broke the billet clutch lever accessory when the bike was tipped over in the building, when it was less than a month old. Ouch! That hurt me as well as my pocket!

2200Rs for a set of clutch and brake levers is difficult to digestOriginally posted by rennycornelius View Post^^^^

at least that would be cheaper

Why dont you think of getting existing levers chrome plated or scrapping of the paint? There's lot to it other than saddle....

I was thinking of scraping the black paint off.Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

Nothing special man. I have done it. Also use some chemicals to remove the paint. If it works, then i will do it too.Originally posted by R-series View Post...thats a good idea you gave me

@R-series:
didnt knew the YAMAHA dog-legs are so expensive.....
you can also find someone who can powercoat it for you, it'll give it a brushed look, and you can have it in any colour.Last edited by rennycornelius; 02-04-2010, 09:34 AM.The Magician"
