I have 110/90 Zapper Q on the rear. I havent really noticed any performance drop. I have comfortably done 130 on the speedo. Cant comment on how much road grip has increased but it certainly bolsters the looks of the bike. You will have to remove the chain cover since the tyre edge brushes against it.Originally posted by RedApple View Post

thanks for the info mate! i thought swingarm will be costlier!Originally posted by johnjojo08 View PostRTR swingarm costs Rs 780..
Not changd the shoes even??Originally posted by sai_ace View Postdude,,, I have an apache 150 too. I have still not changed the rear drum brake shoes. It has done 23k Kms and is 2.5yrs old. Why am I saying this? Cos I hardly use the rear with such a effective front disc. If you wanna improve your braking distances, you could probably try fixing the rtr's petal disc, with better rubber for the front and back. That will be fine.
A rear disc is an overkill.
hope ur not joking
newz, i have been riding all these yeasrs usng my discs only..changed the pads just last month at around 32k kms..I guess il have to drop the idea of rear disc
Even if we decided with it, i seriously doubt if TVS guys would be able to do it!
I too use 100/80 zapper Q on the rear..but i got it for 1000 bucksOriginally posted by arun_nr View PostHi Dheeraj The Tyre cost me Rs.1350 and Zapper Q 110/90/18 was also available for Rs 1450.The Tyre i have is a Tubeless with one year replacement warranty.
Nice tyre there mate, i too use the same one!!Originally posted by arun_nr View PostHi guys i am uploading some images of rear Tyre and sorry for low quality,I will upload some better and high quality images later
u got the crux manOriginally posted by onlinesatish View Postkanjoos fellow!....

Guys real bad news after doing 10972 km in the odo, for the first time today my rear tyre punctured Took it to the tyrewalla and his expertise along with those lovely tools he use, left some bad scratches on the black wheel. Any suggestion how to rectify it?
Any idea about any special tools which can remove the tyre without doing any harm to the rim.
Replaced the engine oil with Gulf Pride 4T 20w40 for Rs.200.00, seems better then True4sigpic

strange tht he used the same ol' tools as nowadays most of 'em are havin the automated tyre removing machines...Originally posted by kauria View PostGuys real bad news after doing 10972 km in the odo, for the first time today my rear tyre punctured Took it to the tyrewalla and his expertise along with those lovely tools he use, left some bad scratches on the black wheel. the only thing u can do to wipe the scratches out is to paint the whole rim.....

But can those machines be used for removing and mounting tyres on bike rims/alloys?
I'v only seen them being used for 4 wheeler rims/alloys.
That said, most puncture-wallas work in an extremely crude way. It will pay to find out the best puncture-walla in your area, and then get it done in front of you and direct the way he works.

i would suggest giving the punture wala 10 rupees extra for handling the bike alloys softly
using a cloth inbetween the cloth when removing the tyre or putting it back also helps.Worked in my case though.

My RTR's rear alloy become two tone after ahving abt 20 punctures and after replacing 3 tubes in a single month.....god i was soo pissed off!
i was abt to paint the rear alloy.....but mohan suggested me something else.....and it worked brilliantly....!
He put a black tape on both sides of the rim and used a hair drier to put make the tape even out on the rim!........no one could make out tht i have really taped it and not repainted it!
Hats off to mohan!Last edited by onlinesatish; 03-22-2009, 06:29 AM.07 HH Zma

ok i admit for tht you have to remove the whole tyre from the bike and get it thr to the shop which is having it (not practically possible everytime).....i've done it one time...Originally posted by Raccoon View PostBut can those machines be used for removing and mounting tyres on bike rims/alloys?

but guys i had a flat tyre yesterdays eve and i removed the tyre (thankfully i noticed it at my frnds place and removed it thr) went to a good puncture waala only to find out he's not having the machine
he removed the tube with his OH SO AMAZING TOOLS and gifted me 2 scratches on the rim despite of me yelling to do it softly......
and one new thing he told me tht he can make my tubed tyre tubeless....whn i asked him how he told me tht he'll be removing the tube and gonna fit the tyre thn hell fill it with air directly and WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the tyre is tubeless!!!!!!!! whn i asked him the what about the air sepage he told he'll be first using the sealent liquid in the inners of the tyre(the one used to repair the punchures in the tubeless tyre)
i was in hurry otherwise i would have done the experiment......
guys.......... can tht happen????????Last edited by rennycornelius; 03-22-2009, 08:58 AM.The Magician"
