Hi friends... got a lil problem here... the pick up of my bike has gone down drastically.... i wrench the throttle in 2nd gear and it makes big growl... i feel it wants to revv hard... but the bike just doesnt pull like it used to...
i had similar problem last month and got the clutch plates changed for free... it was the visiting TVS guy who did it for me... at the svc..
after which it was amazing.. it pulled great.. that drastic increase in the speed in 2nd gear...
and after a month it suddenly is back to wat it was...
wat could be the problem ? my bike has done 23k.. it does ok till 5 k on the tacho... after 5k it feels like it is gonna go but it doesnt... i tot it must be something to do with the clutch... got the bike serviced yesterday.. still the same... SOS...

Must be the clutchplates again. they may have not set the clutch play properly. thats the reason of play. try setting clutch if it does not work, get the clutchplates replaced again. There's lot to it other than saddle....

any method to reduce tht guys...Originally posted by julianpaul View Postholy crap, that's a lot of play. maybe thats why false neutrals ?
ok, the tie-rod is cross-threaded. meaning if you tighten one end it will loosen the other and vice-versa. you will need to first remove the 'boss' from the gear shaft. then adjust the threading. first loosen the lock nuts. then i think you need to lengthen the tie-rod section. so screw it out of the boss end and the lever end i think. not sure. just take it off the shaft first and you will figure out which way to turn.julian............!!!!!!!!!!Originally posted by julianpaul View Postok here's the simple way. first remove the boss from the gear shaft. then adjust by trial and error. ho jayega.

the play in the gearbox is different. plus it would never be 1".Originally posted by rennycornelius View Postnahi hua yaar............

i think you're not doing it right. what needs to be done to reduce the play is to make the tie-rod longer. so the parts into which it screws must be further apart. in order to do that you have to remove the boss from the gear-shaft and then turn the tie-rod. it's very difficult to explain this here man. i'll try and get some pics to help.
