Hmm which means you are riding in conditions which need you to press the cllutch & use brakes often. Hmm unders similar riding conditions in Pune I get 40 kmpl.

Where can I ask for that? I mean in general for this backlight thing, which shop do I go to...
BTW, I enquired a dealer today morning over phone and he is like "They are 2 different speedometers for 2 different bikes! FI's speedo just cannot be brought onto a carb bike!!"
Is this thing that technical or is it just me?!

Help Needed

Guys a wicked thing happened yesterday.I went to watch X-Men Origins to a nearby multiplex for the night show I parked the bike in the parking lot.After watching movie when I came back, what i saw was shit..Some mother****** tore off the Fi160 emblem sticker from the handlebar..I felt very bad coz every time I ride my eyes go to the blank spot.So went to SVC today and they said they dont have it.Can anybody here tell me from where I can get that sticker.

What is condition of your plug, if its Fi then no problem it will be near white as the Fi is very lean, but if its carb then a black ring along with a brownish tip is just fine, mine is full black

The only option will be to take it from another bike in another parking lot!!!!

I mean WTF that person would do with the Fi sticker.I inquired the SVC guys and they said its a gel type sticker once it is removed it cant be stick again!!!

I like that blue speedo more you see! That's why.. These TVS guys are not budging an inch! They are no no to this stuff and keep insisting me its damn technical! LOL.

Havent checked that as I am sure the bike is running fine, the way I rip my bike the FE is fine as I knwo I can very well extract more FE by simply changing the way I ride

Perhaps, Sarab-FI can help you in this matter. He was also a victim of Logo-rage .
We checked out the SVC, only to find that the sticker alone is not available, but if you can afford, then whole handlebar cover can be made available in Rs. 250 that too by placing order. So we decided to make our own sticker. ATM, Sarab's got the "design file" of that sticker, but oly vinyl stickers can be made by it, not the epoxy one (original) as they are some kinda printed and glued with epoxy.

Well, i would agree with you in that the rtr makes more sense to buy than the fi today, but the biggest reason for my buying the fi was the blue lcd. no jokes. fi, better exhaust, rear disc (which i didn't want anyway) and all the other crap came after that. i just hate amber displays. it is better than pulsar orange though. so if you really want it that bad, do as renny said above and buy the fi!

and yes, the fi probably has a different ignition system than the rtr, but i seriously doubt that you would have any major issues using the fi's console on the rtr. the showroom/svc guys probably dont want to take the trouble, plus they will have to answer to higher ups if aked why they said its ok to use the fi's unit. also, there's no reason why the warranty on the rest of the bike would void just because you changed the damn speedo, but to be sure ask satish !

what i would do in your place would be to try and get a decent buyback price for the stock console (probably at the same place you buy the fi's and MOST probably not the dealer you're buying the bike from). just dont expect the dealer to be very helpful in this regard just because you're buying the bike from him.

there are people on this very forum who've had dealers buybakc new, stock tyres and give a different brand but i've also seen many dealers refuse even that minor change. so dont other asking your dealer reg. the console.
