The stock lighting is not so good and I had long plan since I bought this bike, to change the H/L to DC and use a HID in place, but could not able to install HID in RTR due to its superb electricals. RTR sports a DC TCi instead of a CDi which is common for Indian and international market. DC TCi consumes the direct battery power to produce a healthy spark, and any less power in your battery will hamper the performance of your bike. I have tried many of times to switch the H/L to full DC, but after riding in DC with H/L on, the bike started knocking and one can easily feel the sudden change in performance. It is same with the stock 35w bulb; even it is worse when tried with a 55w. So there is no question of using a HID in RTR. One of my known friend at TVS Kolkata is still trying to solve this problem, let hope for the best. If you guys came out of any solution, please let me know.
Stock Tire really sucks, but it is still doing its duty form the day one, and I could hardly measure any wear in its grooves. TVS uses a very hard compound rubber which helps to prevent to prick a nail (Only two licks in rear till now) but not inspire much in corners. Will change to Dunlop or MRF soon.
Any idea, how to do so? Is it possible to remove the glass wool form the silence muffler, like as in case of Bullet?
Even my battery is not working in its full potential, may be cause of its age. Will replace with an Amaron which comes with 5 yrs warranty. I have a small quarry here, our stock battery is 12V 9ah, if I will replace the same with a bigger say 12V 14ah (Bullet ES) battery, does our stock RR unit will be able to charge it, or I will need to increase the charging current. In theory a 12V9ah battery require around 0.9 -1 ah for trickle charging, where a 12V14ah will surely require around 1.4 ah of current. So the difference is only .4 ah,
Thanks
