Secondly, the engine is also very harsh once i cross the 4K mark rpm the engine feels like its of a used second hand bike . My bike was brought on april 09 not even completed a year and i have done 5000 kms.
check ur clutch cable play, and roughness at higher side of RPM is trademark with the RTR, but gets smooth with the oil change.

I'm running the same, and i've also replaced the front pegs with the R15's.

change the bulb to philips white light or with halonix, great for you but hell for oncoming riders.

Almost all the same signs it throws like a worn out clutch.

          • So it looks like Motul isnt working that well on my bike...bike is heating up pretty quickly in traffic or otherwise and stays hot, even when i ride through a breeze or hit some cooler weather. Im gonna run it for a while longer and if the symptoms still persist, im gonna go back to AGIP.

            • Hi Apaches

One of our RTR (in Colombia) with 5,000 Miles had to be repaired motor, rings, piston, cylinder, valves and others. All under warranty.
The owner seems to be very careful and does not require the bike for the first 1000 Kms not abuse the engine, only mentions that the oil level was down to 700 ml (cc) and the workshop of TVS (store) they said it was normal . Now, again debuting this engine.

I have a question: Why the engine is running at 2000 RPM's when I stop at a stop or traffic light and it takes a while to get to from 1300 or 1400 RPM's?

The jets are OK and also cleaning the carburetor, the air filter is ok and the idle.

              You know why?

today was returning from my coll and all of sudden the Self Start felt complete dead when i tried 2-3time on signal but the Self start wasnt working at all then after 1-2 secs Speedo meter got reset it self and even horn was almost dead so thanks to kick start i managed to take my bike to one Excide Battery center . That Mech chkd battery and told me that i need to buy new battery . Now my Question is can i get it replace under warranty..?
Bike Details are :-1yr 2months old and 29000kms done (RTR EFI) . And If i need to buy new one Wich Battery shud i Prefer paani wala ki bina pani wala i mean Regular or Dry..? Plz suggest something as i dont have any idea about brands and this DRy and Regular battery .... THNKS....!
Its not enough to know how to twist the throttle; you must have judgement to know when and where to do it.

the battery warranty is only for 1 year but you can try to see if SVC is generous enough , did you yourself check the battery ? maybe the Water level is down so you will need to top up distilled water . also replace the fuse next to the battery and see . 1 year ,2 months is too less a time for battery to go dead .

First check the battery for the water quantity, if it's less than half fill it up till the mark, ride for 5kms and check the elecs, secondly clean the connectors using a sand paper and re apply them with a coat of vaseline, if things dont change even after it, then your plates are gone, and the SC guys wont cover it under warranty as it's already one month passed from the warranty expiring date.

                              • Guys got my new grey rtr yesterday with rear disc.Today mornng the bike seem to get swiched off very often but gradually the problem did nt come up.Has it got to do anything with the idle rpm,coz yday the mechanic kept it at 1.1k and due to some reason it automatically became 3.2k or smthng yesterday night..After that my friend chenged it to 1.3k today morning and the prob cropped up.What should be the perfect idle rpm and does it change by itself after sometime?
hope i ve made myself clear.
