And better to get new bearings with it.

I wish I could also have that 17 incher , but running short of money, nor I want to lose/damage the existing 18 incher...
17" will lower the gearing of 160 by a little.

Yup. To counter it, we had installed a 14-T front sprocket. And that should still (theoretically) improve top-end marginally.

Other way round, 13/44 ratio can be increased by replacing with 13/43. That much won't harm, IMO.

        What say...

Yeah, thats the best option. 14T shud be beautiful on a 17-incher. Yes, for the RTR 160 13/43 will be good. Anything lower and the performance is killed!

Thats the old Apache kit spec. May also make sense to check the RTR 180 kit details. IIRC it is 14/46

                • I have put R15 80/90 * 17 front tyre on my RTR refresh and Zapper Y 100/90*18 rear both tubeless. What has happened is the profile of the front tyre has been lowered by 9mm and rear has increased by 10mm cause stock tyre is 90/90 front and 100/80 rear this has increased the top speed of my bike by almost 10 kmph speedo indicated and the ride height has also increased. I think gearing has become taller, tomorrow i will be putting RTR 180's sproket kit on my bike it will lower the gearing lets see what happens.

it got my rear changed to IRC 110/80 17' pirced 1.5K.
and now my bike is doing 57kmph in 4k rpm(top gear, with 14T frnt,) earlier
it was 58kmph @4K vid 14T frnt. tht means top end slightly dec.
the grip is awesome guys, nw i can lean my steed with more confidence n trust.

Quite expected. Its the same case with my bike. Its better this way. I dont think u need to alter the gearing. It will already be tall. Dont go below a 13/43 ratio. Anything more and be prepared to loose out a lot!

Keep both buttons pressed for 10-15 sec till that service reminder light turns on and remains on without blinking. Then, you can release the buttons.

                              • help me! apache rtr 160

I have the problem that the neutral light stays lit, even when connected, and switched on the lights, turn on the light too high and turn signals on the board.
I wonder if anyone of you has had this problem before and if you have solution.

                                Thanks
