My RTR's left-side handle is almost touching the petrol tank( already a small dent is appearing on the tank). Recently bike had a slow fall on left side.

    Any solution?

Check the handle bar stopper and handle symmetry.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

yeah Yeah. I surely will. But let me eat up that Geo-cruiser first. then will switch to another. But definitely not to 110/90-18 PSD.

I started from Neral at 6:50. Road were empty so i was riding at 110-115 kmph on NH4. Just next to left handed curve with incline, a dumper was doing 5 kmph in fast lane. Other trailer, was overtaking this dumper from left side at 7kmph or so.
As I entered the curve, I spotted the dumper and trailer while doing 108kmph. I was around 30mtrs behind the dumper. I squeezed front brake, used rear brake to get into counter steer, and leaned inside. Rear wheel skidded outside and I was on inner side, leaned at 40 degrees with verticle, ready to leave the bike and save myself. But thanks to that 270mm petal disc and perfect balance of the bike. I did 108 to 5 kmph in merely 1 sec. and was saved. All this happened sub cautiously.

I felt great to have RTR and not pathetic handler like pulsar or lazy bike like Unicorn or Hunk.
Instead of RTR if I was on Pulsar or Unicorn, I would have been in photo with sandal wood frame.

Let Bajaj keep on screaming. It really do not help pulsar to become fastest Indian in true sense.

This incident proved if RTR does 120kmph, its capable of handling that speed.
Thank God Nothing happened to you..3 cheers for Apache..Hip Hip Hurrai

Thats the adjuster for RPM. if you roll it a bit inside it will reduce the RPM. If you roll it outside the RPM will get increased. For RTR recommended is 1200-1400. You can easily set the RPM, as you can see in tachometer. I'll recommend set it somewhere between 1200-1400. Usually if if you keep it around 1300. its good. Regarding the vibs....you cannot help much cause RTR is having that attribute right from its birth. What you can do is that check out for a gud quality OIL say SHELL or MOTUL, verify that ur RPM is set optimally as i said in above....and overall the cluctch setting. Also make sure that your chain is properly lubricated, make it once a 15-20 days, because thats the crux of the problem we all check engine RPM and forget chain...just make sure its adjusted with 5-15MM freeness....and then check it i am sure you'll feell a lot of difference

Your presence of mind+reflex+petal disc brakes+RTR's Handling saved the day for you!!

                  • Need help

                    hi frens,
i'm getting some knocking sound from the front end of my rtr every time i drive over small bumps or even if i brake sharply. Service centre people are unable to fix it as they just tight the handle a bit every time which makes it stiff and hard to ride.
                    any solution for that?

Same thing had happened to my bike, the steering kit had worn out so i got it changed and adjusted the dttering to my liking by myself and the problem was gone.

any ideas of how much you spent for that. and what comprises of a kit.

                              • Hello guys.....its been a long while since i posted....on this very forum i had requested help for which bike to choose....finally after hearing it all i decided to get the Apache RTR 160 thanks to the advise from you guys...

Its been more than 6 months now....Now there are a few questions that i had like to ask you guys...i am bit of a novice in terms of bikes and all that goes into them...so apologies if my questions seem amateurish....

                                1) Off late i see that while traveling at a speed of 55-65 Km/hr...i experience vibration in the handle bar (more specifically on the accelerator)....However, once i cross 65...the vibration seems to stop and the ride becomes smooth again...I have done until 95...and its fine even at that speed....But why does the bike vibrate between the speeds of 55-65?

                                2) The brakes on my bike i.e the front disk and the rear non-disc produce a hell of a noise....Despite my repeated requests to the service center guys to do something about it....i still see no solution....I give it for service....the brakes would stop producing noise for a couple of days....but then the sound starts again from the 3rd day....Is this common or Is this something i need to address immediately??...

                                3) While braking from good speeds....the rear tyre seems to be sliding all over the place.....for instance today morning while commuting to office....i was doing 75-80 and then applied brakes to slow down for a speed breaker and it seemed to me that the rear end of the bike was sliding all over the place...Is this something common??...Would you guys suggest me to change the rear wheel??...

                                PS: I live in Bangalore....
