Here's is how it looks if you remove the rubber
Any suggestions?
Am planning to remove the rear fender and use this(if it fits)
this clamp
can anyone tell me if i am running lean or rich?
The gap u see here, you will see 2 screws there am planning to make a I shape clamp by myself and then fix it,like the Ninja Rear fender eliminator thing.
The finished product should look like this

If this looks bad then I will shift to the rear fender of P135 or A180Last edited by haxor; 12-02-2010, 01:21 PM.Speak Less,Speak Wise!

^^
haxor boss just go for A180 as 160 apache rear tyre is very thin so if you do that like ninja it wont look good
P135....well you can go for that also will look good and diff from other apache as there are lots of 180 and hyper edge seen even you can see 160 fitted with 180's fender so it will be different one

I wont fit the rear fender of P135 as it is not available here.
will make a I shape clamp by myself and will see how it fits.
I took the bike to the local garage here and the oldies there didn't take a second to comment when i said that I wanna remove the rear fender.
Btw I knw I have to remove the whole section(in pic)
but I want to keep this section, what to do
when I enquired here at the local parts shop they say that it cost about 800~1200 rs
I wanna keep it cheap and simple. need help people.
The clamp I will make

This the where the S section will be fixed with screws
They say i got to remove the whole plastic thing
I will keep this project on hold till 18 dec.as my exams will be starting from 7th dec..
I dont want to chop off any section of the mud guard,as I may/will change it during monsoon.
thanks!

The rear fender is the same as the 180.Itz just a cut & paste from the 180.Originally posted by kantu View Postno dude will post a pic if you want ,it s not of 180 atleast not in my rear drum brake model ,
But it wil look a bit weird without the tail lamp cover.I had to wait nearly 6 months to get the fender without the tail lamp cover.Originally posted by bikerboysyd View Postthanks .. thats a relief ..I will go and do the same

I had ordered it as soon as the 180 was on roads..!!
Had to wait another 3weeks to get it.The tail lamp cover just costs Rs.45.
Pester the service guys to get it at the earliest. As i know the service store keeper very well, didnt have to pester him..!!
I drove the bike without the cover for 3days before fitting it...!!
Here is my bike..!!

Even my SVC is not having the stock of rear fender.. and he is reluctant to order and fit it.
I hav to try other SVC centers.

@haxor:
The whole section has to be removed,I noticed it when i got my rear fender changed..!!
I Dont think so you can retain it without chopping..!!
Try going to the SVC & get a fender set from an accident or damaged vehicle..!! If you know someone there then its easier to get it.!!
Those guys will anyway dispose it off.!! Try D.I.Y. with the spare fender by chopping it off..!!
hope this helps..!!
