Its not possible to upgrade the existing bikes with an ABS system..!! As i told earlier, the pump alone costs around 15k,& we will have to change the whole wheel assembly with the swing arm & stuff.. So its not an easy task for upgrading.. Aprrox cost would go upto somewhere around 25k..!!
Also Apache is coming up with a latest technology Android integrated with bikes. I wonder what they are coming up with. Maybe GPS navigation, music file players which can be played with Bluetooth technology. I have no idea when it is going to come but what I know is that they are working on these. But anyway its going to be the starting of a new era for bikes.
        Nice to hear this news..!!

            • Vibrations and pillion comfort level in RTR 160 Hyper Edge

              Hi Everyone,
I am planning to buy RTR 160 Hyper Edge soon. I did a test drive but was not able to feel any vibrtions, may be I did not drive it at the RPMs where it vibrates. My question is - Is it really uncomfortable to live with these vibrations? Please advise. I will be driving to my office everyday and my wife will also commute with me sometimes. So also wanted to know if Hyper Edge is comfortable for pillion for day to day travel and occasional long drives? I went through the entire thread but did not get a clear verdict on this. The answers are not a clear YES or NO kind. So am little confused. If vibrations are intolerable and pillion comfort is not there then I will go for some other bike may be P150. Coz i find P180 less flickable in city rides.

Please share your experiences and advise.

              Regards,
              Atul

              • there cannot be a clear yes or no to the question because it is subjective.Vibrations are a integral part of RTR, you ll just get used to it after sometime. Usually RTR feels and rides better if there is no pillion , tats what i feel. Its your choice to make, test drive all the mentioned bikes to know whcih one suits the best for you.

I suggest take a test ride with your wife , and ask her itself how comfortable it is , there are certainly less vibes in it . And some pillions dont like how the seat is (high) . Its a sporty bike .Brakes are sharp in this .

hey yaar from where did u get the extra cap on mud guard?
Was is there available right when you were buying the bike?
I needed one infact. Without that it will be tough in rainy season.
                      Can we buy from outside?

Thanks for the info buddy...well i just did my first service on dec 25th... anyway will check out with them later...
But i read from somewhere in this thread that they are not providing anything like that..for the rear drum brake model its a different mud guard..i went for rear disk model whose design same as that of 180 without any extra mud guard caps...i wonder whether they are giving different sort of accessories in different places...i'm sure the service guys wont be even knowing about these things...and more over all the models which i saw there doesnt have this cap in them...if i had found such things in any other model i would have asked them..anyway from you i came to know about these things...I was just wondering how bad it will be during rainy days and y tvs didnt think about it..
