Service limit is 3mm. The same is stamped on the disc. Mine is 3.3mm now at around 42k.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

Update: I did trial and error with the idling screw. Now it seems like the problem if fixed. The mech had asked me to get the FI tuned using the PC diagnostic tool. They did not have that with them and had asked me to go to another service center.

Note: The manual mentions that the idling screw should not be adjusted without connecting the PC diagnostic tool. but since the mech already tried to fix it by fiddling with the idle setting without connecting the diagnostic tool, I thought I would also try that.

          • Carburator tuning help

hey all...my ride is RTR 160......problem with my bike is misfiring.. which is a sign of lean mixture....at constant speeds i feel like the bike drags back(like there is no enough fuel)....the TVS SC peoples here in trivandrum are good for nothings....i asked them to retune the carb but the problem remained...so i decided to tune it myself....followed the carb tunig methods from a blog......the step says to turn the AF screw clockwise till the bike tends to stall and then 3-4 anticlockwise turns for optimum tuning...but my ride is not even trying to stall even after the screw is fully closed....i was turning the screw very slowly...please help me its urgent!

NOTE-BEFORE TOUCHING THE CARB I HAVE REFERED POSSIBLY EVERY POST,BLOGS!!.....

Is your Bike Fuel Injected or Carburetor type ?
Venu whenever you have a doubt about AFR mix level take out the spark plug and see.If it is WHITE you are running lean.If it is DRY BLACK it is rich.If it is WET BLACK oil is getting into the bore.If it is CHOCOLATE BROWN, it is correct mix....
Take a reading after riding the Bike normally for 15 Kms,and post...

I think this is some kind of shockwave that affects most RTRs at same time.
My RTR-Fi's One way Clutch also got broken last week. Shattered pieces have damaged charging system too.
Coils were badly bruised, magnet strip is badly damaged and has come off.
There's a big hole of around Rs. 4.5K in my pocket now . Bike's standing in SVC.
I hope this New & Improved one lasts long enough. Will send brother to get it fixed tomorrow.
