Dude.. I was just kidding. On a serious note, I dont think someone running a dealership will do that kinda cheap cheating. Nyway, be alert.

BTW, do all dealers across India provide this option..?
      Can someone confirm this..?

250 all i want is a that just one small part..I dont need to have the full part including accelerator gripper and all those...anyway for the time being i have managed to turn that piece alone round so that its not visible when we look from up...the scratches are there only in small part (though a bit thick)...will be visible only when we look from beneath...so that it wont fall into my eyes

No the dampeners dont come with that grips its actually a rod slipped into that handle bar and that part which is scratched is like a big nut holding the rod inside the handler bar, didnt get any info on apache but this one will do

By the way last sunday had tuned my bike and cleaned the spark plug , today (after 80Km riding) just checked the plug it was choc brown

                • Help me !!!!!!!

Guyz somebody help me, I am in trouble now. My RTR (Y) is now 17 month old and I always tried to keep that healthy. I always changed parts on or before recommended time intervals and serviced my bike on an average of 1500-1700 kms. But even after doing that much my bike is in serious condition now, its so much sluggish that reaching 90 is a task now. Sound from the engine is also increased a lot.

And all this happened because of my utter carefulness. Recently about 700 kms ago I gave my bike for servicing and as the mechanic told me to get my head grind about at 20000 kms I did so. Everything was fine and I took my bike from SC,bike felt quite responsive with less knocking. But those fools did make some fatal mistakes. The plastic bolt on the magnet cover (left side rounded hump on the engine) fell down on the way of first ride. Engine starts throwing small drops of oil from there and I took the bike to SC again. Strange thing was that only that was not the problem, toe shifter was hanging loose (was defiantly going to fall after some time), round rubbers on the handle bar section covering shock rods fell off, tail light was not working, screeching sound was coming from somewhere. And a special thing was that everything was on left side of the bike including the loosened bolt which holds the handle bar column to the shocks.

At the time of delivery the throttle cable was very tight and was not in stock, so I took off after getting a promise about throttle cable. Bike was feeling quite hard but mechanic told its because of tight race cable. I rode the bike for two 100 km stints and after that when I opened the dip stick to check out the oil level, I got shocked. OMG only the tip of the dip stick got wet little with black oil (Bike was static for over 10 days after those rides). Instantly I poured a 20W40 servo bottle in the engine and went to SC. Now even after changing the throttle cable, bike feels running sluggish. I suspect the engine oil was also not refilled by them at service. Dont know what to do now to get the bike back in good running condition.

Comments from every rider are welcome !!

                    • ????

Guys, I have covered about 4900 kms on my Apache RTR 160. The first two oil changes were done using the TVS Tru 4T. The third time, I used the Castrol Power1. Its been 1800kms since then.
I am planning a short trip that will involve around 600kms. Should I change the oil before the trip? If yes, can I use the Motul Semi Synthetic one?

No need to talk to SVC guys directly blow the showroom manager. Just dont listen to any of them show them what they have done and ask them to give you in writing. I recommend stand on the managers head and grill him, believe me these guys when treated like this will give u a good treat, and my personnel experience is go to a local mechanic and get the things done ur way as i am doing i dont trust any SVC. Blow them buddy remember, if u r asking them to give in writing then they will come to know, show them the engine oil that they promised to change.........i would have been there, i would have literally killed the manager, i even dont talk to to the service guys
