man i think something like gravel sand particles has gone into the disc brake area and causing such problem and it may also cause scratches on the disc brake ..

                  • @Sunny: I read that & you said there that 150cc & above should be fine, mine is just above that so wasnt sure

@Sai: I see you & other recommending this, whats the price? is it fully synthetic or semi or mineral ?

If Synthetic then what is the change interval?

                    Thanks

                    • Query

I was trying out my brother's RTR, for top whack, a couple of days back. could reach only 118 on the speedo. During this ride, I felt that as the bike took the minor undulations in the road at speeds over 90, it did not bounce back up straight, as if the rear springs on both sides were not uniform. It felt as if the bike was bouncing up towards one side, I've had this feeling with my Dio but thats understandable coz a Dio has a single shocker unit at the rear which is mounted with a offset from the center. Have also felt the same thing in my friend's 220 (but not to this extent as experienced on the RTR). However I've not had any such trouble with another friend's Unicorn even at 110.

After the ride I checked the spring preload on the RTR and it was same for both the shockers, one level less than the softest setting.

Is the same thing experienced by all RTR owners? all owners with bikes twin rear shockers? Or am I just hyper-sensistive?

Its not a big thing to do 121 in RTr....but this was special!

A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Always be ready (get geared) to fall and then think of sitting on the motorcycle.

Techno, 300V is a fully synth from MOTUL. It will last u for a good 5K kms atleast, but remember to check the level every 1000 Kms or so and top up as needed. Atleast that used to be the case on my Pulsar which would drink oil like petrol. Other RTR owners can give better insight.

                              • Motul 300V is super. I've used it. Works really well and lasts 5000kms easily on the RTR. Use Agip Super synthetic also.
I would always avoid Castrol due to their varying grades and in most cases Grades are not specified.
