    I'd like to see where people in xBhp recommending car oil for motorcycle. Time and again, people has advised against car oil. Please go though the engine oil thread. Runs for couple of hundreds pages. Problem is people don't bother to read them. Besides there is google to help get some basic understanding about the difference between car and bike oil.

    To put it bluntly..you are wrong. But at the end of the day, its you bike.

      Yeah,i also have the same doubt because the bike was full plain white and the speedo was not zmr's,i think its a ZMA speedo.handles are zmr clip ons,Seen while traveling in car,If i saw it again will surely click some pics and will post it here.

        Gulf 10w40 is of same spec as of magnetec and at the same time cheaper so wanted to know which is better as it could help other members too.
        And i have gone through the engine oil section the 10W40 car oil(magnetec, gulf) seems more ideal as it helps for wider operating temp of the engine and has more drain period. I see no harm in using a car oil of right spec as long as its a four stoke oil. Pl pour in your thoughts too and correct me if i am wrong.
        Have you heard of " Friction Modifiers "...this additive is used in most Oils used for Cars and not in 2 wheeler oils....Reason for adding this additive is ,it reduces friction by forming a buffer layer between moving parts and lets them move with least friction..guess what happens to the Clutch Friction plates with this in Place ?..
        The spec for Car oils are different from Bike ..Bike oils have to confirm to JASO MA2 specification...while Cars have API /SL,SM,SG standards...for complete understanding follow the link..

          Need help sourcing a caliper part!



          Could someone please help me source part # 1 in the pic?

          The part # is 06451-GE2-405 (seal set, Piston)

          Ive checked with all the dealers here in the coastal belt but in vain!

            Guess a lot of people were just waiting for the ZMA manual to make use of it.....Just a request..try to resize the pic to a smaller size so that it does not take up too much space...

                has anyone tried fitting a bs 32mm cv carburettor from the 220/eliminator?.if you have changed, what jet size have you used ?

                    Hello Guys,


                    My bike is done with 35000 Km and it's almost more than 3 years now.

                    I want to do some performance mod to the bike and i need your advice...

                    I was able to find a below filter K&N can i fit it to karizma, and how it will help in performance....and I heard that we need to some up jetting for the same. can you please put some light on what all things are to be carried out.



                    Than I do also have a iridium spark plug..

                    What will be the benefit of using the same...

                    Guys please help me so i can go ahead with the mod soon....

                      Bro K&N wont increase you performance much,very slightly noticeable increase.may be a 0.5hp increase after K&N and a good jet size.also Iridium will increase you FE as it is more effiecient in burning fuel.

                          K&N with upjetting will give you less than a hp..may be 0.3...

                            The carb itself is difficult to get a hand on.
                            Is the one on eliminator same as the P220 (32mm) ???
                            Bajaj sells pulsar( 150 & 180) carbs like onions...Am too looking for a 32mm CV carb...

                              same thing here, its been a long time am planning to fix p220's carb, even Joel suggested the same but due to financial reasons it got postponed. Anybody know the cost of this carb??

                                There is this place in Shivaji Nagar, Bangalore where you get all kinds of bike parts at down to earth prices! But they are used ones mostly. My zma met with an accident recently and the front right indicator got broken. The showroom people quoted 250 bucks + labour charges. Headed to Shivaji Nagar straight and found one. Decent shape. Just a few scratches. He told 120 bucks but I paid him 50 bucks and fixed it on my own. Huge money saver!!!
