    Why isnt there a engine kill switch on the zma? Difficult for HH?

    • Completed 4000kms on the odo this Wednesday(20-Apr-11). Bought the bike on 31-Jan-11.

      Mods till date:

      M45 4.00 X 18 at the rear
      Philips H4 55/60w xtreme headlamp
      Bosch dual horns
      Crash guard.

          and as name suggests, its used for Killing the engine

              I don't mind if it is there or not. May be someone can list out the advantage of having the engine kill switch.

                Yes if you notice the accelerator itself there will be TWO L bent cable guides underneath for the cables....Strange as it may seem even if one is cut it is normally changed as a pair...If you kneel and look at the carb from the back brake side, you will see a black cover and the two cables entering it....It foxed me..I am yet to experiment with single cable..will do and post later...

                  Engine Kill switch is for emergency stopping of the engine...for instance,if the petrol leaks from tap, or petrol tube, and start to spill on running engine, with the kill switch you can stop engine instantaneously...or when normal ignition switch develops loose contact and unable to switch off engine...it also saves the frequent use of key ignition switch often when you are waiting at signals and want to stop engine to save fuel..
                  When driving downhill, in the night with DC lights ,if need arises for you to switch off engine and wait, BUT WANT THE HEAD LIGHTS ON for safety..engine kill switch helps...these are some of the uses I know of...

                    OT : But people say that the Avenger 220 is running a different carb. That doesn't matter now does it.....

                        i had 1 question, cant we use LED's for all 4 indicators, 2 pilot lamps & brake lights in zma? To reduce the load on battery

                        i mean is this MOD possible?

                          I have seen many bikes with pilot and dash board lights changed to LEDs. However, I've not come across people mod turn and stop lights.

                            hai zma owners..Any one tried zmr clip ons in zma-r?..
                            What about the modification? is that directly fit to the original provision of old handle bar. how much bucks needs for this job. Is it readily available in bangalore. One of my need this kinda modification to his zma. So guys please help and give some suggestion...
