Welcome, first you've to set your priorities, which seem to be "looks" dominantly in your case right now.

Its true that Karizma is not having all the latest gadgets and techs but still many want it in their garage because of few features which are and will remain unmatched forever.

For FE, just remember that if you maintain well, ride your bike well (without abusing much), it will be a little comfy and cheaper for you in a long term to maintain it. FE is not everything. Understand this! If you want FE from a Ninja 250R then you will ride it around 50-60 kph on highways, but is it for what you bought the bike?

Still, if you're so much inclined about FE figures, a highway ride 70-100 kph will return 42-45kmpl and a city ride 30-70 kph will return ~35kmpl.
I wish you get a broader view of your priorities and this will help you sort it out.

Also, if you want further more confusing suggestions then go ahead and start a thread about the same in "What bike?" section...but if you don't then we'll be waiting to see you here, in this thread with the pics of your bike that you bought.

    Have a nice time.

Agree totally with the Ninja bit...
@ Aki .biker ...First set your priorities and whichever bike satisfies the most is the winner for you...with FZ if you brake suddenly, and or your pillion slams into you in a bump or hard braking, your family jewels will be at a greater risk than in ZMA...think it over.

It is the Starter Motor's Carbon Brush which had worn due to use...change it and everything will be ok...Only the starter motor needs to be dismantled from engine casing and brushes replaced...if you have a good mech it can be done in about an hour...it is part no: 2

I believe it is running lean.

@Karizma R - If this is not a real name, let us know, sometimes we might interchangaeble mistake the bike. Since you say new to biking, I would suggest you to go through this ZMA ownership thread right from 1st page. It might take some time for you, but worth spending! There might be many topic discussed that you wanted to know about.

Hey Aarunn, PSR Sir had put that file (manual of Karizma R) a few pages back, I downloaded each and every page of that. Download that, it will be beneficial for you in the future also.

and agree on the "running lean" part.
Dear Karizma R, go to a local mechanic and ask to adjust the "tuning".

One of my friend had a painful experience and had to take a few days rest due to what I had posted.......that said no one else owning FZ had specifically mentioned this before to me, or posted in the FZ thread.

                              • Any alternatives to Karizma's swing arm bushes? Just now came to know that they are ridiculously priced at around 1800 rupees (please correct me if I am wrong). A friend of mine needs to change them, and may be soon I also need to change them.

I heard somebody made bushes with gun metal and they cost only 400 rupees. Any inputs in this?
