You can get it painted from a good reputed painter outside svc. It costs nearly 1000rs and it depends upon the paint used.

ya i know a good painter who has done my willys. I can get a good double stage paint from standox or sikkens. But the only doubt i have is, will the hero motors sell karizma R tank stickers seperately because when i asked for rear cowl "karizma" sticker an year ago they said they dont have it so i bought the whole new piece.

Previously stickers could be purchased separately, you can check the parts manual for part code, but now they come along with fairing. Just give the part number and ask svc to order it for you. If its not possible then leave the tank plain and use tank pads that come with the ZMR.

Valvoline is a decent brand if it's original. However it says 20W50 which is fine if you live in a very warm place( I've read this somewhere but not sure of it, the others here can clarify) but normally 20W40 is the most advisable.

Check for Friction Modifiers in the oil.,ie., Molybdenum Disulphide....the oil is meant for 4 wheeler so before trying it, better check it's MSDS to know if Moly is present....Secondly 20w50 is too thick for Karizma..Bike Rev will become sluggish and low, along with Lower FE...

Can somebody check the manual and confirm its 175ml? AFAIR, its supposed to be around 145 ml in each fork. Last time, as per my mechanic I filled around 160 ml in each fork and the forks became hard.

Can somebody please check in manual? I have lost my manual long back.

IIRC its 145 +or- 5 cc and definitely not over 150cc (the measurements mentioned in the manual are in cc). So you are right @145ml.

What exactly you are looking at? Sales, Service or Spares? It doesn't matter which motors, but building rappot to get best out of them. In my personal experience, invariably if not all, most of the technicians in those service stations got the 'mechanic' attitude and they are governed by something called count of services done for the day. You'll need to strike the right cords to break the 'customer' boundary to get your work done, i.e. Talk!

Service. I've seen the way some mechanics treat vehicles given for service. They act like they paid to rip the bike to shreds. Sales and spares aren't common issues but getting cheated on services regularly is super annoying.

The trick to getting a proper service, is to be present during the service and strike up a conversation with the mech (without bothering him with too much of your gyaan).. be friendly but not too talkative, and let him give his views on the topic (bike related or anyvother which you are talking about), i find this keeps their mind off the 'time' and 'hurry' factors.
this is essential with both the local mech and the asc. (some asc's employ the so called regular mechs who do not have the 'factory' training - this is not always a good mech)
in short - you need to hypnotize them

Is this somthing because of the higher wattage bulb?

You sure it was not reflection from the neutral light? Maybe, you *thought* it was lit when actually it was reflecting ambient light.

happens sometimes (had a similar behavior on my rx100) and it went away like you said after a day.. never bothered about it
probably you need to get the neutral switch checked (and it requires opening up the crank case )
