Re: Problems in my ZMA
That's what I thought, that's been there for the past year, I though the brake material has worn out, but the mech says its still got a lot of life left.Originally posted by psr View Post

Re: Problems in my ZMA
Psr thanks for the solution. U were right in every word.Originally posted by psr View PostThe reason for this is the brake stay tightening at the Chasis end...If you try to see where the Rear Brake stay is anchored, you will notice that at the Wheel end it is bolted on to the rear brake shoe holder drum, and at the other end it is fitted to the chasis at the bottom of the bike ...it is this second stay at the Chassis end which is loose and causes the noise....If you want to check for sound, Hold rear brake slightly and move bike in Reverse. The after releasing brake move forward and apply rear brake, and you will hear the "TUK" sound......get the Rear Brake anchor at the Chassis end tightened properly and the sound will go away.
But i tried setting it right myself but found that it is not accessible....
and had to giveup.
Today i foun that the spare bulbs i got with my wagon r is Osrom 60/55w. Installed one on my zma and found it satisfactory. feel like i got some extra power.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Guys, is it possible to fix a crash guard on the R? Also a friend of mine was telling me its a little big to ride in the city, is there any truth in this
EDIT: I found this on Google http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcycle-ownership-experiences/4845-karizma-karizma-r-1140.html#post798135, but this method requires welding, that I'd rather avoid.
Edit 2: I read the following on a review:
In certain occasions when cruising near 100+ kmph the engine felt harsh and crying for another gear but when looking at the RPM meter it shows 5500. I’m just using 55% of the power but why this harshness?
it seems weird for a 220cc bike to struggle at 90kph is that a problem in his bike alone or a general issue? Or do we have to shift to fifth gear at a much higher speed?

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Aneesh, Ashwin and couple more guys in this thread have already fitted crash/leg guard on the ZMA without much modification. I mean plug and play. I've a straight crash bar of RX fitted on to my bike, however, have removed the engine cowl which is hampers engine cooling.Originally posted by rcazador View PostGuys, is it possible to fix a crash guard on the R? Thanks for replying. Can i just ask the dealer to fit it or is some other bike's guard fit?Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostYes,Its possible.

Thanks man.
EDIT: I've enquired with my mechanic about Southern Motor. t's reputation in recent times has been a little poor. I've been told that Nagappa Autos(Anna Nagar), Vishnu Motorplaza(Ekkathuthangal) and HM motos(Porur) are safe? Have any of you had experience with these dealers?Last edited by rcazador; 05-08-2013, 11:31 PM.

I'm really no expert, but isn't that sort of thing best left to mechanics and company service centers? Just saying...Originally posted by Sajith View Posthow much oil is needed for front shock ???

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
~175 ml of 20W fork oil should be equally filled on each forks (Total : 350 ml). Remember to change the oil once in every 10,000 kms atleast. Check gasket and have it changed to new to prevent oil leak.Originally posted by Sajith View Posthow much oil is needed for front shock ???

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Crash guards from any Honda or Hero Honda bikes are a direct fit for the ZMA. Even after market ones which have a U clamp setup would do fine.
I can assure you that it's a good investment, cause among the active first batch 2011 ZMA owners in this thread, only Myself and Jerrin bro are running on factory fibers, Jerrin bro is really crazy about keeping his bike in pristine condition(and even after 2 yrs it looks like its just rolled out of the showroom) but I'm not that kind of rider, my bike has been left out in the sun and rain and had been dropped a few times accidentally and sometimes on purpose, thanks to a few idiots at college who once climbed on my bike to pluck mangos. And yet the fibers are all right, the crash guard makes sure that the fibers remain intact.Motorcycling Experience:
