Could some kind soul here please help me source a NGK sparker for my zma? The Champion ones are hopeless! When i get off the throttle after hard acceleration, it misfires badly. Ive put in a 17k kms old sparker from my previous zma and that seems to have sorted the problem. The model number on the sparker is DPR8EA-9. Im open to trying out the G power sparkers you guys swear by!

    Cheers!

@rcazador - adding another point apart from what you mentioned is, its a wonderful touring machine. Mileage will be around 30> and for some it returns 40kmpl. But my bike returns 33 on an average inside the city and I've never bothered to calculate mileage when I'm touring.

Southern Hero formally called Southern Auto in Nandanam/Adyar is the biggest dealer and spares distributor to south India.

'southern hero' LOL you mean that's competition for our Rajini sir ? . I remember southern auto (nandanam), old memories... that's were i bought my CBZ classic back in 2000. That stretch of road was a blast to ride on (i am sure now its way too trafficky to ride along that road) - remember doing 90-100 on that stretch regularly.

Hey guys im a newbee to this mighty machine, I admire its performance and driving comfort. It is having a few problems though.

I got my black ZMA in Feb 2012 and now its done 14k Kms. With all stock parts.

From day 1 it used to wobble at speeds above 70 and when a heavy person is sitting at the rear even at speeds of 40, After my repeated complaints and fights with the HH guys its has been fixed after some 4000Kms (Not sure if it was their work or the bike itself got tuned)

The other problem i have is, Some times when the rear break is applied there is very hard sound "TUK" from some where near the rear wheel. It doesnt happen every time. I got used to it but when there is some other person behind me and cruising at 80 or 90 and all of a sudden the sound comes u can imagine the situation.
I have the problem even now even after repeated complaints i have no solution to it from the HH guys.

Some one kindly help me diagnose the exact problem.

There is no effect on breaking, Except the additional sound. And i hear it once in a 200 or 300 kms drive

                          2. Fork bend (accident/bad pothole)

                          5. Extremely high amount of air pressure. e.g 50 psi. (least likely)
Thanks for answering buddy, well my bike was never in an accident and God willingly will never be in an accident. But regarding bad poth holes I suspect the same and there is nothing we can do about it unless we get rid off all the corruption and pig politicians there is nothing we can do, considering all these new vehicles coming out from the show rooms and all the road taxes paid by us idiots well leave that subject there.

I need to take my baby to a good mechanic with a lot of patience or I should do it my self. She used to handle like a blade and now at the sign of sand in the road she slips, but the problem is its not always there, I need to do a through check up and buy all the necessary tools.

The reason for this is the brake stay tightening at the Chasis end...If you try to see where the Rear Brake stay is anchored, you will notice that at the Wheel end it is bolted on to the rear brake shoe holder drum, and at the other end it is fitted to the chasis at the bottom of the bike ...it is this second stay at the Chassis end which is loose and causes the noise....If you want to check for sound, Hold rear brake slightly and move bike in Reverse. The after releasing brake move forward and apply rear brake, and you will hear the "TUK" sound......get the Rear Brake anchor at the Chassis end tightened properly and the sound will go away.

That's because your rear brake drum had rusted and catches on the brake material...after a few Kms of braking it will go away....till moisture/water develops rust on the brake drum again....
