one side of the front cowl costs 2300 !! WTH WTH! wonder why the fiber parts are that expensive (engine parts understandable) - so that makes the front cowl assy more expensive than a new bore piston kit !

My ZMa is 2 years old and i have done 20,000 Kms. For two years of confort riding, the air filter has neither been replaced nor cleaned. I wanted to get the filter changed to the stock one again. But it was unavailable in the HH service station.
I have a few questions regarding the filter.
Using Zen MPFi filter is better than going for K & N.? I don't want my bike to roar whenever i revv. Does Zen MPFi filter produce sound as equal as K & N.?
I'm staying at chennai, Is there any way to get the stock filter again.?

Spark plug and Air filters need to be changed every 10~12 K Kms.Stock filters are available in chennai...Zen MPFi air filter gives better breathing without increase in sound or change in performance...but to fit it you need to do some DIY ..refer to Pic posted by me and ACS .Originally posted by robin3989 View PostMy ZMa is 2 years old and i have done 20,000 Kms. Problem with RPM Meter needle. . It Starts tripping after 9km Ride.
Hello Sir, I own Karizma R 2009 model. My RPM meter needle is shaky and starts tripping after 9km Continuous ride. My office to home distance is 12Km. . So after 9Km ride from Home to office or Office to Home, The RPM Metter nedle comes below 1(1000)RPM and Shakes well for some time from 0.5(500)RPM to 2(2000)RPM and stops. . Please share your view on this .. what could be the problem. .
And if start it again after 2hrs, the problem doesn't come until again it completes 9KM. .
When my mechanic checked and told that everything is fine with cabling... he didn't check carburetor. . . .is this the problem with check carburetor..?? If So, Do we need to replace the carburetor..??
Please answer me earliest, so that i can ask my mechanic to do as suggested. . .

Hello guys, I want to give a not too short term review for the Motul 7100 double ester!!!! fully synthetic!!!!!!! oil.
I bought this oil almost one month ago and initially it felt good for the first five six kms but then it felt as if there is sand inside my engine and gear shift started to become harsh. I thought its just in my mind and so continued riding with this oil since it was not a cheap oil draining it away did nt came to my so easily so I continued running with the oil. But after few hundred kms things where not improving in fact it became so unbearable that I drained half the quantity of the oil and mixed Gulf pride 4T, and since then the gear shift has improved and very soon may be to day or with in two days I shall buy the Shell rimula to try it on my precious baby, untill then I plead to my fellow "X bhp ians" for not buy this expensive crap and try it on your Karizma. Thank you.

Been there while running on 7100, 5100 and 3000. The Yamalube branded ones work well with the zma though.Originally posted by Shabeer Khan View PostHello guys, I want to give a not too short term review for the Motul 7100 double ester!!!! fully synthetic!!!!!!! oil.

2.3k for the RHS cowl is high. Just today i went to a service center and here it is around 1500. i too had a small fall to the right side because of a wet slippery road. The RHS cowl got lot of scratches. So planned to change it along with the headlightlight assy (the plastic holders broke) and the front mudguard (got cracks long back but changing now with the insurance cover) and few more things.Originally posted by ryan.virgo View PostI got the approx quote from the SVC, Not all parts mentioned here need to be replaced, but he has just given a rough estimate. The insurance person will be coming today to survey it.
On other thoughts could the price difference be due to your ZMA being white? why dont you check the price for someother colour at some other placekarizmatic
