I have started off by installing K&N RC1060 air filter, sound is good but the top speed is not so satisfactory.. its about 120..

I am planning about going for bigger jets (main 135, slow 40/42) but I dont know where to source it from or if possible a bigger carb. I want to change to spark plug to NGK as well and install a FFE(contacted Joel but no reply)..

Any help here would be highly appreciated..

    Thanking in advance..
Why do you need performance mods in a perfectly good, stable bike? Just put in the NGK G Power, and that should be it.
As for the FFE, please read the threads in other sections (General Biking Discussion) that show the effects (good or bad) that come with installing aftermarket mods.
If you want more speed, upgrade to a bigger capacity bike.

120 sounds reasonable (or even excellent) for a 43K km run bike. Clutch plates and other components might need to be changed to make it run at it's max of ~126 kmph.

I am not getting sudden acceleration even after installing an air filter.. so planning to change the clutch assembly..
Entire rear cowl? Was it broken? No way to fix it? I'm not too certain it would cost 5000 rupees. Perhaps someone can chime in with prices.
Engine oil bubbling.. and front shock absorbers replaced? What does the engine oil have to do with the shock absorbers?
Do you mean to say there is a leak in the engine head?

IMO The Karizma is not really meant for 'sudden' acceleration, like the duke. It is more of a steady acceleration.

Yes I am planning to get NGK Iridium Spark plug model DPR8EIX.
And because of some misalignment in the front shockers, there was a lot of shaking in the handle - which the service centre people call as bubbling. And yes, the guy who installed the K&N air filter also suggested me for clutch assemble change, but I would like to know the cost of it before going ahead and change..

First of all, congrats for the acquisition! Welcome to ZMA family.
Clutch plates would cost ~1500 rupees. A well maintained ZMA does reach ~134-135 kmph speedo indicated given proper shifts + enough empty stretch. Are tires ok? How about tire pressure? Air filter and spark plug needs to be changed. Chuck Iridium, get normal g power plugs.
        Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Tyres are little worn out bro.. I am palnning to switch to change them as soon as I get some funds..

          Front - Contigo
          Rear - 110/90 - 18 PSD.

I enquired a dealer here in Jaipur and he quoted about 4700/4800 rs for both tyres (front+Rear).

And is there any model no for the G=power spark plug you mentioned and price if you know bro.. in the official website they have recommended DPR8EIX for Karizma R.

                  Hi,
It has been two weeks since I got the bike. The ride is damn smooth and with the helmets on I don't even hear the bike. Coming to the question, I had put 2.72 litres of petrol immediately after I hit reserve. And now, after 71km I hit reserve again resulting in an FE of 26.1kmpl. Around 40 km of that 71 was in bursts of 3km (distance from my home to office) with 3 stops in that distance. Add in around 30sec of idling twice everyday and choke for 5sec everyday in the morning. I haven't checked the AFR turns but it is the stock and I haven't fiddled with it. My idling RPM is right in the middle of the 1st and 2nd small marks between 1k and 2k which I guess translates to 1375. I usually shift up at 3.5-4k at gears 2,3,4 and 3k at 1. I shift down at 2-2.2k. So is my FE normal or is it too low?

Short office trips can't be used for mileage calculation.
Get 2 tankfuls done and calculate the average.

I got old stock at 160/- currently should cost around 205/- acceleration and initial pickup is much better. Not calculated fuel efficiency yet...

in need of advice again. I've noticed oil leaking out of the left front fork. It's not continuously leaking, but I can see oil leaked out. A friend said the oil seal may have to be replaced. Should I be worried about this? the ZMA-R has done 30,000KM on the odo. Is it common for such issues to start occurring now? I applied the front brake and pressed hard on the handle.
The fork dives in and comes back smoothly. But I can see some small bubbles. Not sure if they're due to the rain water or oil coming out.

Clean it up and replace the fork oil, oil seals and dust boot as soon as possible. If neglected, dirt can accumulate and scratch the fork pipe which is expensive.(Dirt & debris acts as an abrasive and removes the top layer of the fork pipe)
