You could use a bike cover, and also a disc lock/alarm disc lock in addition to the regular lock.

Helmet - choose your own helmet, follow the helmet thread to get a good idea of what to get. A good helmet of Indian make will set you back by about 1.5 to 2K rupees, whilst imported ones go from 3 to lots of K's. Decide on your budget, your safety and get it.
Gloves start from 300 onwards as well.
Most RTO's have to give an embossed number plate as standard now, so they are not providing an extra.
Seat cover? Handle grip? (Doesn't the handle already have a grip?)
    Wax polish and shampoo?
Polishes like Turtle/Formula 1/MotoMax are available at a low budget and will do the job.
Avoid teflon coating it is not teflon, and will ruin the finish of your bike later on.

I don't think my meagre inputs were helpful, but don't let the accessories provided make you decide on which bike you wish to buy.
There are so many threads on the subject, review what you need, and buy a bike for that purpose, and you'll be happy.
I already have LS2 duality series helmet.. satisfied with it.. going for extra helmet in case any of my friends or pillion short fall of during a ride..

Teflon coating i have no idea about it.. thats why asked.. so wax polish and teflon coating are not that good.. wont go for it..

The gloves provided are probiker full hand gloves with knuckels..

Alarm lock will be beneficial.. is petrol lock available for karizma.. ? lots of petrol theft issues in my locality..

ok this is making me regret ever so slightly. I was so confident that hero never actually upgrades bikes that I didn't bother to wait for Diwali. Now I'm just hoping that at least some of the improvements can be retrofitted on this current models.

Very good, regarding the helmets, I wish more people understood the importance of a good helmet. Dealers are mandated by the Govt to provide helmets with the vehicle. The key word here is 'cheap'.
No to teflon coating, yes to wax, but only if you do it on your bike yourself (Follow the detailing thread, lots of useful info).
Probiker gloves cost about 300-400ish depending on where you are, the time of the day, and the seller's mood.
Petrol locks are definitely available as aftermarket accessories. Get a mechanic to fit one for you. You'll need to take care of the key.

Be happy with what you have now. Again, you never know what lies ahead. As I said above, these are like upgrades to your computer (or other expensive equipment that goes down in value very fast ). There is always a better model round the corner.

If they bring out a naked mono suspension zma with fuel injection that'll be interesting.

This will never happen to the DHOOM inspired Indian Public, who think that its not an upgrade if it doesn't have a useless fairing fixed to it, at least in case of HMC.

P.S: However the D390 has opened the doors for the naked breeds to enter the country. Only time has to tell if this mind block will get extinct or no not.

Even with the D390's arrival.. people are more eager towards the RC breeded 390.. which shows that people are more interested towards the faired bike.. even me for example... I love the Faired bikes as they protect me from the on coming wind as compared to the naked bikes and I am more of a long tourer..

The ZMA doesn't look that good IMO.. the fairing helps tackle the wind blowing on your face.. at least the aerodynamics of the visor and fairing push away the wind instead of hitting on you..

but here the weight of the bike must have been reduced by atleast 5kgs.. which means power to weight ratio increases..

Actualy a zma will never look good without a fairing unless you fit the headlight at a proper height and remove the speedo console. Put something like the RD's

The unicorn is something like an unfaired zma, I feel they have a lot of similarities, what about others? For tourers fairing is perfect, I'm a but I like naked bikes, I can go on any terrain without the fear of the joints breaking or cracking

Thats exactly what I meant, even if the 690/990 adv comes here, people will still prefer a full fairing for it, which destroys the whole purpose of building a bike for a specific purpose. After every ride need to bother about tightening the screws or giving some packing for the vibrating part. One slight turn while tightening, a crack appears which needs to be attended on priority Been there done that, thats why saying it out of experience.

Hi all, got the Karizma today. It took 20 days instead of the 10 that the showroom guy said when I booked. Not bad though. Coming to the bike, first thing I noticed was that there was almost no sound from the engine till 3.5k RPM. I had to concentrate on the engine to hear them. (This might have been amplified by the fact that I have been riding my friend's Yamaha Gladiator for the past one month which makes more noise than an enfield). Another was the sheer ease with which it went to 80kmph. (Couldn't resist trying it once. Will complete the run-in period by maintaining below 3.5k RPM at each gear till 750Km and raise rpm by 1k after every 500km thereafter and will keep varying the speed.) Got a Rs. 600 helmet from a local store for now. Planning to get a Studds Scorpion this weekend. Also planning to get a pair of gloves for better grip on the handlebars in the rains. No additional fittings except a helmet lock at the rear. Planning to fix a crash guard in sometime. The service centre recommended oil change intervals seem to be too far apart (don't remember how much now, will update later) than what is generally recommended here. Looks like I have to pay them to get it changed earlier even though the first 6 services are free.
