I never overlook things even if it is trivial. That is my problem.I guess I should transform gradually :-)Thank you psr and Divya Sharan. I changed the rubber damper on the rear wheel and I notice the difference. There seems to be a grinding or rather rubbing sensation felt in the left footrest while slowing the bike. Planning to change the chain guard as well.

Getting angry at somebody is the same as getting angry with a bike that just won't go. You should stop and start thinking.

Before you change the chain guard, change the "chain guide" and see. Its meant to set a path for the chain to roll over the swingarm and proceed to the front sprocket. If its worn out, the chain will rub against the swingarm and make noises.

Also check if the sprocket isn't worn out. Another issue could be dirt (grit) build up near the sprocket area, especially since it's monsoon.

Pardon my ignorance. I tried getting to "chain guide" but am unable to find it. I also took it to a mech and he was no help. But your response has logic. Can you guide Sharan, if you have the time?

The sprockets are new mate. Dirt, yes! I cleaned them up and lubed the chain. The sensation seems to be adamant :-(

                Heh, our mistake, we 'assumed'....
Since you're on the KariZMA thread that you had the same vehicle . There is an immense amount of knowledge shared on this thread by the way, more so than most other forums, I believe. Most bike owners can benefit from some of the info at least. If anyone of us was able to help, we were glad to.

See this link - if you're lucky you may find Avenger's/Pulsar220's service manual. You'll get a better idea.

It was never really meant to have a ZMA meet, but was sheer co-incidence and thought why not a group pic. As you said if black, gray and silver might completed the collection. Ah!

Get yourself any chain lube (the big bottle) and lube the chain every 300-400 kms. Monsoon may require more frequent lubing. Just ensure that your chain doesn't run dry. Famous products for lubing the chain - Motul lube, Tribocor lube, Diamond lube (Diamond makes Karizma and CBZ sprockets). Any of these would set you back by ~500 rupees and would last 4-5 months.
I got this today. I may sound dumb but how can I use it :P The reason I ask is, a shorter tube is attached to the nozzle, whereas a long tube is provided on the cap.
