Worn rings.Originally posted by nithin2767 View Postmy bike had a bearing noise issue and the crank shaft, timing chain, guides, tensioner lifter was completely replaced. From then i have been experiencing white smoke in morning starts for about 10 secs . What could be the suspect. The bore and piston was fine when it was opened to change the crank. Can tappets and timing be the suspect in any case. I have spent about 10000 for the bearing noise issue and a new problem popped up. Experts please help.
Lean AFR - ensure it's at 3 to 3.5 turns. 100 to 110 will not harm your engine at all. Engine oil change at this point is not really required, but it would be good if you did so, to flush away any additional metal filings accumulated.Originally posted by ankit.traveller View PostHi all, completed 1500 Kms today, Bike goes till 100km/hr without any fuss...still having cold start problem, bike refuse to start even after giving choke if parked for more than a day, have to repeat the starting process for atleat 10 times and 5 minutes.

yesterday had ride of 200kms on highway when odo was on 1300km, most of time speed was 90-100 km/hr.Will it give any harm to engine? Should I change engine oil now as it was changed at 500kms during first service.
Check the play in the cables at the carb end. If there's excessive play, the RPM will act up.Originally posted by g K View PostAll the cables were replaced recently, a month back.
Cold Idling is fine..Took out for a spin yesterday also, no issues this time. Hot idling was ok ~1500-1600.
Confused!

Guess what, it might return to 25k rpm tomorrow again. You have a to get a tune up I guess. Seems to be purely carb related. If you've opened it lately the assembling of the diaphragm spring might be wrong also. Whatever the reason, seems carb related for sure...Originally posted by g K View PostAll the cables were replaced recently, a month back.

Recently got Michellin Sirac street 2.75 - 18 tyre front tyre for my Karizma.. I would like to say, its simply awesome..
thou the tyre thread pattern looks like offroad, the grip they provide on tarmac and cornering is just superb.. Here are few pics on 10 days old tyre.
And one more important thing I would like to add here.. I was facing wobbling and shaky handle bars with my old MRF tyres and the noise from the front mask.... Its all gone now
Never thought that a good tyre will solve so many minor problems.. I am highly satisfied by these tyres.. Gonna change my rear tyres soon, so please suggest me which one I could go for? I searched for sirac street for rear but it wasnt available in the market.

The tyre you've used is actually meant for rear, you might have wobbly front end in the future.Originally posted by Night_Shade View Postrreneav1987 Divya Sharan Rakesh_rok

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
I still can't believe it dude. Ok, maybe you didn't see the tyre before and so didn't recognise the grooves/pattern and didn't see the markings too. But was your vendor for real?? How could he give you a rear tyre when you asked for a front tyre?? Amazing! Anyway, if the vendor replaces the tyre with one of your choice, well and good. If not, you already have the rear tyre you're searching for. Simply put it on the rear wheel and buy a new front tyre😄Originally posted by Night_Shade View Poste

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Don't take the 2.75 thing at face value. That doesn't look like a 2.75 tyre. Even the tread is not like either a 2.75 or a front tyre for that matter. The front Sirac has a groove running down the middle. This one looks ditto tread of the rear 100/90-18 Michelin Sirac Street. I used one and threw it away before it completed a year. Didn't work for me. Am using the front one right now though. Its performing ok. This is how it looks:Originally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostA 2.75 rear tyre for karizma lol that's gotta be scary to ride.
