Re: Oil drain nut replacement
Hi,
I had ordered this part from Hero Workshop and went to collect today. But this is not what I require
What I need is U-shaped ring, that prevents the neutral switch from coming out. It comes with the small chain sprocket cover something. This is what workshop person told me.
I don't know what exactly the specific part is called.

I am in a fix. Though the problem is pretty small, it needs attention.
The neutral light on console of my ZMA is not working. The reason is- The small metal part (patti) that is located inside the chain cover has gone missing.
Its been over a month and I have not been able to get it. Can anyone help me source it in Delhi ?
Alternatively, can anyone post a good pic of it so that I can try to fabricate it maybe ?

I think the part 5 in the picture is what is required from what you say....it keeps the Neutral switch connector in place....Originally posted by g K View PostHi,

Re: Oil drain nut replacement
Yes looks like this as the person at workshop also described it as u-shaped part and from the functionality you mentioned.Originally posted by psr View PostI think the part 5 in the picture is what is required from what you say....it keeps the Neutral switch connector in place....
Is this a portion of some other part or is available separately too?You can ride a Motorcycle any day of the month. ;)

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Far as I know guys, in a Zma, if your neutral "patti" is conked off, you have to open up the whole gear box just to replace that small fiddly little thingy. Its absurd and one of the most irritating things but true. And you can't "do it yourself" unless you're a mechanic. Its not one of those things that just about anyone can manage on a weekend. On most other bikes the problem can be solved from outside itself. Correct me if I'm wrong anybody

Re: Oil drain nut replacement
Hi Guys,
I recently replaced the farining of the Karizma-R with a Fiero F2's round headlight. It is looking OK, not as good as the fairing version. But, I like it. Good things are that the headlight focus is good and vibes are almost none. Bad things: looks, number plate touching the front mud guard while front shocks are acting.
Do tell me if you like it or have any suggestions so that I can incorporate it.
Cheers,

Re: Oil drain nut replacement
Although it looks good, it doesnt give you comfortable riding position (I think). I've tried this in the past with my CBZ classic and was disappointed with it. Until I get a good, tall handlebar, this would remain. Thanks for the suggestionOriginally posted by sinnerz2000 View PostGet clip on handlebars

You should have kept the original headlight without fairing. would have looked more wickedOriginally posted by zma10 View PostHi Guys,

you can go for ZMR handlebars.. there is a thread indicating how to do that.. else Lower handle bar.. Though even the stock handle bar is good enoughOriginally posted by zma10 View PostAlthough it looks good, it doesnt give you comfortable riding position (I think). I know bro.. But the clamp "building" was a little too tricky. Initially I thought about that too, hope I can get it done in the coming days.Originally posted by worrisomebear View PostYou should have kept the original headlight without fairing. would have looked more wicked

Re: Oil drain nut replacement
Trust me , i had a friend who did the headlamp mod, kept the stock headlamp instead of round one and it does look real nice.. Get hold of a good mechanic who can help you with it... ZMR handle bars are expensive. but some pulsar handle bars fit it... but i say keep the stock ones ....Originally posted by zma10 View PostI know bro.. Sure thing. Will do that. No, I haven't thrown away the fairing. It is kept safely at home. Yeah, gears are already there..Originally posted by worrisomebear View PostTrust me , i had a friend who did the headlamp mod, kept the stock headlamp instead of round one and it does look real nice.. Re: Oil drain nut replacement
This is manufactured by bharat petroleum better drain it at 1000 km, you should've bought one manufactured by tide. And is 900ml enough?Originally posted by anmol_1990 View PostProcured from outside shop for Rs. 220 - Looks genuine? And what you all have to comment on the highlighted third pic?

Re: Oil drain nut replacement
I think 900ml should be OK. But, 6000 km I think is recommended with adequate top-ups. Having said that, I wouldn't risk waiting till 6000 kms. I change the bike's oil within 3000 kms most of the times. Do you really want to go for this brand? Don't mind my comments.Originally posted by anmol_1990 View PostProcured from outside shop for Rs. 220 - Looks genuine? And what you all have to comment on the highlighted third pic?
