Highly unsafe!

Mineral oil - 2k kms at max
Semi synth - 3k kms at max
Fully Synth - 3.5k to 4k kms at max

Spark plug is found rusted, though I haven't experienced any ignition problems.

Looks it was overused.

And the winter just started, having said that the Sirac doesn't perform well on wet slippery roads, I have started following a few steps to prevent fishtailing.

Will share the short term and long term riding experience with the Sirac.
Did you notice any difference after changing the spark plugs..because even I'm running on 21.5k old champion plugs with rust but no issue

I couldn't find any difference till now, its the same as the old one. However the old champion plug sometimes need a little cleaning in the terminal area. I have experienced such situations during rain and when travelled for long distances.
You cannot find a reason to replace the stock spark plug until you hear somebody saying it needs to be replaced for every 10K kms.

New karizma zma and zmr now official, check out that ugly front of the new zma

Engine of the zma and zmr is same but torque has increased to 19.35NM at 6500RPM.

The zmr looks bad too but its better than before at least , body is more sleek and has a wider rear tire.

I didn't like the old zmr anyway, but I liked the old zma, if only they had kept the old design along with mono suspension and some minor tweaks here and there that would have been interesting.

If the manual recommendation is for the crappy 10w30 oil that tye ASC uses, then HMC have lost their mind. If its a Fully synthetic , then its perfectly safe. Folks have used FS oil for more than 9K kms (including Ladakh) on Zma n Zmr and still it had some life in it. The oils used were Castrol Power 1 Racing and Shell Ultra.

This was originally posted by PSR sir in the thread Engine Oil. I remember I have read the below somewhere, so made a quick search and here it is.

Please do not extend engine oil change in motorcycles beyond 3.5 K for FS....The engine oil in a Air cooled engine goes through great strain ,and it's life is always miserable inside the engine....Delaying the oil change leads to Sludge and Varnish formation, both of which is not good for the engine...
Even in cars it is better to change the engine oil at 5~8 K kms depending on period of use, and nature of use....
It is better to use Mineral oil , and change it at 2 K Kms in Bikes than using FS for longer time and Kms.....Using fresh engine oil every 2~3 K kms helps in the proper maintenance of the engine.. NIGHTMARE....I am at 1,100 Kms on Shell Rimula R3X and will change oil once I do 1,500 kms...The oil looks good so far , no sludge, and level is same as when I filled it fresh.
The Gear shifts are smooth and easy, and finding Neutral is easy now....What exactly did you mean by 'Bike throttling at 80 Kmph" ? the gear shifts will make clicking noise and shift easily and positively with R3X....
Mr Babu76,......the Diesel oils contain dispersants and detergents to keep the diesel engine clean inspite of heavy combustion residues . This also means it does clean the inside of engine (detergents), and in case of Petrol engine, previous deposits inside will be now cleaned up....I can find out only when I drain my bike oil to know....

It is very important to do not purchase engine oil which are more than one month old after the date of manufacture. Most of the shops try to sell engine oil which are 3-4-5-6 months old stock. Its make a big difference in performance.

Where did you get this gem from? Oil (not synthetic) has been under the ground for millions of years, and 1 month after the date of manufacture will make it go bad suddenly?

Please check some oil forums to get a better idea, people safely use oil from the 80's in their vehicles. I'm not advocating THAT old a oil, mind you (primarily because of additive separation), however, a couple of years or more will not make any difference.

I changed the spark plug to NGK iridium IX. And set AFR to 3.5 turns. Idle RPM : ~1.3. Model : ZMA 2010. From the posts i have read, this setting should give a decent F.E and avoid abnormal engine heat.

AFAIK most people here have a setting of 2.5 turns

2.5 turns is lean. 3-3.5 should be optimal.
