Re: Karizma/Karizma R
This weekend I have taken the bike for a 400 kms ride with the new Sirac Street in the rear. Here are some basic behaviour of the bike under various road conditions.Originally posted by g K View PostDo post your short term and long term review.
Had ridden ~350 kms on highway and 50 inside the city. As advised, had set ~33psi at the rear and ~25psi at front and started. Surprisingly, I never skid in the whole ride though I had to ride in rain for about 40 kms on highway. Didn't risk by applying hard brake at higher speeds. Checked at lower speeds ~40kmph on wet road and it was totally stable.
I have only one complaint about the tyre. I happened to hear a noise while riding in the rain. Exactly the same as the noise we hear from lorry/truck if fully loaded. However it stopped when the rain's gone.
Information provided above is purely based on individual experience. Will post reviews particularly about the wet grip shortly.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
I Think the noise is due to the traction coupled with the grippy tyres throwing out water/sand/pebbles. MAYBE.. I also maybe wrong.Originally posted by g K View PostThanks bro..Good to hear that the tyre performed well.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
At last, I am not alone here. I have been hearing this lorry/truck tire noise from my front tire, Michelin M45 2.75 (on dry roads). Its gets very louder after 60 kmph and its really annoying. Initially, I was worried a lot checking for any kaput bearings. Finally, I was relived when I pin-pointed the problem to the front tire. To compound the problem, the tire worn out unevenly and causes vibrations to the handlebar. On the positive side, the tire is offering great grip even with these issues. Need to change it soon to avoid that annoying noise, which suppresses the engine noise.Originally posted by robin3989 View PostI have only one complaint about the tyre. @psr sir, the other day I went for a 300 km ride, and at the end of the ride, the chain became too tight. I faced this issue four years back once, and now it happened again. Could you please tell us what could be the reason for this?Last edited by ravi@17bhp; 10-19-2013, 03:22 AM.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Tire noise is because of the grooves, grip, and the air escaping through it...In my KB 100 I use the tire meant for rear with A lot of criss cross pattern, and I too get this tread noise...Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostAt last, I am not alone here. Regarding the chain getting tight after 300 Km ride, it is due to lack of lubrication...I used to get this problem with KB after a 200 kms ride...so started using Brown Bearing grease, which I continue to use in my ZMA also with good effect...Last edited by psr; 10-19-2013, 06:52 PM.When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Sir, my chain was clean and wet. I use chain spray and carry a can too on my rides. I rode with dry chain too on some rides, but never it got tightened. Will there be any other reason for this? Like improper chain adjustment done before. I have adjusted the chain slackness before this ride with a mechanic outside.Originally posted by psr View PostRegarding the chain getting tight after 300 Km ride, it is due to lack of lubrication...I used to get this problem with KB after a 200 kms ride...so started using Brown Bearing grease, which I continue to use in my ZMA also with good effect...

Re: Karizma/Karizma R
Still having problem with by ZMA.
The current Problem is The meter console gets reset to zero. And when bike's is running console flickers but dont get reset. This reset thing is happenening on using the self switch.
One of the terminal(negative) of the my bike battery got a crack in eye part of the terminal. Then did a DIY by covering the terminal with 1mm(approx) aluminium. And then placint the Negative Wire on it. The Original Terminal is now is inside the aluminium and over that aluminium I have connected the Negtive wire connector. It worked well for few days without any kind of trouble.
The battery is giving 13V on no load. Looks good to me. Its working fine. Had a short circuit problem in wire harness, but that's solved now.
Battery wont be replaced said the AMARON Guy even if it was in the Warranty period. As its a physical damage, not manufacturer fault.
Any suggestions? What problem might be?
