Karizma carb should be between 5-6 thousand bucks. THERE ARE NO SEPERATE PARTS FOR ZMA AND R MODEL. ALL PARTS EXCEPT BODY PARTS(THAT TO ONLY COLOUR-WISE) ARE THE SAME AND FIT PERFECTLY.

One even stranger ZMA user told me this bike goes to 200kmph, since it's written there on the speedo . That's what the forums are there for, at least some people can clear your doughts.

No problem :-) . What is the carb issue? In most cases you don't need to replace the entire carb

Bike needs to be reeved all the time even when on neutral or clutch lever completly pulled. If not engine dies imediately.Went to a roadside mechanic and found another zma user there who misinformed me about the price.
Mechanic says carburator needs some work.

As I've said time and again, please take the time to read this thread from posts 500 onwards at least. Every question is answered.

Your idle setting might be low+running lean AFR for this to happen.

What happens when using the choke?
Have you ensured the carb is not clogged/slide not stuck?
Check for spark plug fouling, what is the indication there?
Check whether the A+B cables are free from rust, if necessary, get them replaced.

There might be a number of reasons for this happening, we would need to narrow them down.
That's why the suggestion to read most of this thread, it would help YOU identify a problem and take care of it.

Please get your Air Fuel Ratio checked. Its not a tedious job and requires some patience. Set the AFR to 3-3.5 turns and report back after a ride.
This step alone might save you 5k rupees. Else, we'd delve deeper into the carb slide and diaphragm.

Thanks for your quick response.I am really glad to be on this forum.
I took the bike to a service center and the mechanic disassembled the caburator and cleaned it and set the AFR.Now its fine.

                  Thanks a lot.

                      Thread's pretty silent eh?

                      Help me here please-
Took out my bike after a week today. After riding for ~40KMs when I stopped to park, the tacho was constantly hovering around 2.5-2.7..Not stable, kind of flickering.
When cold, RPM is fine at ~1100. When mild hot then also its fine at ~1500-1600. But 2500-2700 isn't ok right? Idling set incorrectly?

Idle RPM shouldn't ideally be more than 1500RPM.
Check A+B cables for rust or have them replaced.
Check Idle RPM - reduce it when hot to 1500 using the idle screw.
If the bike doesn't start properly after doing that (on using choke when starting), tune the AFR.

All the info is there in the thread

my bike had a bearing noise issue and the crank shaft, timing chain, guides, tensioner lifter was completely replaced. From then i have been experiencing white smoke in morning starts for about 10 secs . What could be the suspect. The bore and piston was fine when it was opened to change the crank. Can tappets and timing be the suspect in any case. I have spent about 10000 for the bearing noise issue and a new problem popped up. Experts please help.

Hi all, completed 1500 Kms today, Bike goes till 100km/hr without any fuss...still having cold start problem, bike refuse to start even after giving choke if parked for more than a day, have to repeat the starting process for atleat 10 times and 5 minutes.

                                ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

yesterday had ride of 200kms on highway when odo was on 1300km, most of time speed was 90-100 km/hr.Will it give any harm to engine? Should I change engine oil now as it was changed at 500kms during first service.
