Hi.. i need suggestion regarding headlight.. my ZMA is 1.5 yrs old... till date i dint change or modify a single thing.. .. but i always needed extra bit of light on road.. i feel the stock headlight is underpowered...
So i am thinking to fit a Halogen 55/60 watt... i dont want to fit HID as this is costly and illegal .. . i found OSRAM NIGHTBREAKER and Phillips Xtreme Vision are the two good halogen bulb....

are these bulb direct fit to ZMA or do i need to put relay and high ampere battery ?? if i just plug n play in stock set up will it harm ZMA electrical ??

As 55/60 watt generate higher temperature ; will this damage the stock reflector ?? who is the Stock bulb manufacturer for ZMA ??

I'm running on 55/60 headlamp for more than 2 years without any issue. No noticeable side effects on the reflector now. Whether Philips or Osram is upto your choice.

@psr sir-I bought a 2012 Karizma with 3650 on the odo last month.Somewhere i saw i can use Mobil Delvac.I am using the same engine oil (Delvac1) in my swift diesel and found to be the best.Right now am using shell Ax5 mineral. Is it ok if i use Mobil Delvac mx/1300,considering its a diesel engine oil.Did you notice any clutch slippage?
PS-I sold of my p220(had a big bore and an ffe) for a 2012 karizma.I must agree the zma is the most comfortable tourer one can get in India.Though it is not as spirited as the 220,but i would never regret as i never cared about the top end.

When you are out the on the highway, top speed doesnt always matter.. you need a constant cruising speed and thats what Karizma is known for Good choice bro.. Get the machine serviced from time to time..

I am running a philips 55/60 light and is really good comparing to the stock bulb, though the the reflector will get burned in the long run.

Direct fit without any relays or high ah battery?

                  Yes it is absolutely true
My 2012 hero ZMA reflector got melt during long rides
I would recommend branded HIDs as these are colder

Welcome to the ZMA owners thread....If you give the Specific oil's name and grade I can look up and tell you regarding suitability..The Shell Rimula R3x and R4 have been used in ZMA/ZMR without any adverse report...I am using R3x and find it to be very good...better than comparable oil for Petrol engines...The main improvement is in the additive ZDDP levels which is essential for reduction of wear...Recently I was able to get the Shell AX range of oil specs, and I find that the AX7 is the equivalent to the Rimula R4 in anti wear additives with less ash content...so you can start using the Shell AX7 with good results...it is a highly refined mineral oil, and so needs to be changed at 2,000 to 2,500 Kms depending on the style of riding ...

Yes it can be used..The MSDS shows higher ZDDP than normal though the company is non-committal at mentioning the exact quantity...the spec says < 2.5% which is good...but Each Country has different spec for Kinematic Viscocity at 40 C and Viscosity Index....seems like a thicker oil for the same spec compared to Rimula R3x or R4....R4 is superior to this oil...since it contains Calcium Alkeryl compound which is another friction reducing additive....None of the above oils will cause clutch slip because none contains Molybdenum...
So you can safely use any of the oil mentioned, in the Karizma.

The shell AX7 is the equivalent to the Diesel oils in ZDDP with 1~2 % (less detergents)and can be used with good result...

                          ZMA Gods,

What do you think is the equivalent of ZMA in a 4-wheeler If you know what I mean, you drive a car and feel, "wow, this is like driving my ZMA." A car that feels so ZMAish

Yup direct fit and no problem wht so ever, the burning didnt started straight away though. The burning is not severe its straight above the bulb on the reflector couple of bubbles. But still I wont go back to the normal bulb since I gained mor than what I lose and the light is extremely better than the stock one, thanks

Hi guys , I've got a problem with my starter . On all morning my starter refuses to work . When I press the starter button the neutral indicator just lessen in intensity , but it doesn't go off ( which it should if the battery is low and the current is going to the starter) . Also the meter doesn't reset . This happens if the bike hasn't been ridden for some time ( cooled state ) . In the video you can see the dimming of the neutral indicator and the meter is not reset . Any pointers ?

It clearly means that your battery is loosing charge overnight, get it tested, mostly you'll need to buy a new one. How old is it?
