    It's a 9AH battery from my old Pulsar , around 2 years old . If the battery is sending all it's juice to the starter then the neutral indicator shouldn't slow at all . In this case it just dims a bit ( see video) . Is there anyway I can check if there's a short in the wiring using a multi-meter ?

      You have either Starter relay problem or the brushes inside the Starter motor is worn...Try tapping on either of them to know..

        Isnt the reserve capacity of 2L over and above the fuel tank capacity of 15L guys?
        Means total = 17L?

          Reserve is 2L but only around 1 to 1.5 l is usable.

                        Specification says 15 L and 2 L reserve, so it means 15L total including 2 L reserve(1.5 usable). Mr.Sriram is an avid tourer who had tanked up many times on his many tours,and so his observations will be more close to the truth...

                            I filled up 15L when I ran into reserve on my recent trip. Just as I ran into reserve, I was able to find a petrol pump a couple of kms into reserve on the route. Reserve to Full tank was 15L, I could have filled in just a bit more, but decided not to to avoid spillage. Therefore, I must have about 1.5L in reserve plus 15L to full.

                              Let me consciously not fill petrol untill I hit reserve and try filling the tank and see. I would be a happy person if the tank can hold exceeding 15L.
