Lol... Everyone thinks I want speed so they ignore whats in front of them, in the video I posted you'l notice that no matter how I shift regular/power I still cant manage to get anywhere near the red zone. Thats whats been worrying me for a while.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostWhy not get your bike joel'd ? I can understand you crave for more speed. Joel can transform your bike into a new age racing engine. With big bore kit and FFE low decibel pipe, you bike will revv hard. If I ride at 110-120, you'll wave hand past me at 135-140 easily. Think!
Please post some pics, and also provide us with the spec. of the screw.Originally posted by prashk View PostAmit, welcome to the club of "AFR-screwless-guys"
I have not had that screw since day one, which is about 4-5 months ago. And still havent been able to get one from Sai service center or Niki motors, doubt if they'll ever get it. Successfully running the bike using an ordinary nut and bolt. My mechanic did it for me, though changing the lean/richness isnt that easy as a OE screw. Get your bike to a two wheeler mech, and ask him to fix a screw/bolt and tune as per your liking.
And have you thought about switching to Mikuni BS29?Motorcycling Experience:

Any updates on the issue.Originally posted by James View PostI dropped in at the SC this morning. Mech(good guy worth his salt) said he needs to check everything including the head. I told him to get a compression gauge and check the compression first. Will dump the bike there on Tuesday.
Cheers!
There has been quite a few threads started earlier with similar issue, but haven't been able to find the right solution.
I too had a similar issue but the only option left was to change the carb.I still have my old carb and would like to know what the problem really is.

If it is varying engine RPM even when engine is hot, then it is mostly due to air leak in intake system.....starting from the inlet rubber hose connecting air filter to carb, to Carb insulator crack to carb vacum connection to air valve,to leaky AFR screw.Originally posted by asif View PostAny updates on the issue.

Hi sir,Originally posted by psr View PostWhat is the purpose of this Post of yours Ashwin ?
Been thinking about sprocketing for a while, and finally thought about undergearing it since, with the current setup my bike never sees red no matter how hard I try and the new locality I'm planning to move to lacks proper roads. So my first choise was samarth bro's idea.
Me and aneesh also planned to go consult svc for the above, but when I saw the pic of the KRP zma, I thought it'd be more shortgeared and since already tried on a zma the compatibility would be greater. But since im not able to judge the donor bike from the pic its difficult for me to go search for it.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View Post@ Aneesh@4Ghz and ashwin: Chain pitch is the difference between a chain's two adjoining links. Similarly, Sprockets also have a pitch which is the distance between their two adjoining teeth.
Have a look here: EK Motorcycle & ATV Chain
The first digit is the pitch/ distance between 2 links, in terms of x/8 inch. So, a .428 chain has a 4/8 or 1/2 inch pitch.
The next 2 numbers (like "28") denote the sprocket width/ fatness which the chain will comply with too, in terms of distance between inner plates.
Remember, your entire setup (both sprockets and chain) HAVE TO be on the same chain pitch. You can't fit a .520 pitch sprocket(s) on a .428 chain, or vice versa.
I hope I'm clear enough?
--
@ Ashwinprakas: For your specific case, let me tell you that your Karizma is on .520 pitch. P220 and P200's rear sprockets are direct fit without any other change, as they're .520 too but they overgear.
If you want a .428 rear sprocket, its no problem, except that your chain and front sprocket ALSO have to be on .428. That's why after suggesting 46T of CBZ, I also told you to try a 14T from .428 pitch. ok?
The Karizma gearing (stock condition), is one of the funniest in the Indian market.
The first 3 gears are under geared, very closely spaced... The next 2 gears are far placed/ overgeared.
Result? The karizma has a decent 0-60 and decent top speed too, but 3rd and 4th gear are a bit far apart.
In other words, if you under gear your bike, your first gear will be too much undergeared, revvy and pushy. And if you overgear, your 5th gear would be a cruising gear, too high for the city.
So, preferably leave gearing as it is. If you want more acceleration/ torque from your engine, a great choice would be Joel's aftermarket exhausts or 230cc Big Bore Kit. If you still overgear, get P200's 38 teeth for a change.Motorcycling Experience:

@Ashwin, ur ZMA clocked 115k with pillion,
If you undergear, it may become 100k. Make sure not to exceed 10% difference from you final drive ratio. The ZMA in the pic must be a stunt bike for wheelies...______________________________________

No worries, Guess my highway days are over anyways.
But atleast will be able to see my bike readline. And am also sure the initial will be way way better than stock, which in comparisson to the lost highend will be a negligible value.Motorcycling Experience:
