When did i say I don't know about AFR setting ?Once again someone else's posts are being quoted as mine...I am getting fed up with this..
I guess i have to stop posting and helping others, to safe guard myself in this thread.

The STOCK AFR setting for Karizma till 2011 is 3.5 turns and from 2011 it is 2.5 turns..
.....for the sake of mileage HH had made it 2.5 turns later.
    .

Do you mean there is no other technical changes in ZMA R 2011 ?
The self starter motor is smaller, The battery is 6 AH, the tires are with uneven tread pattern, and horn output is low. These are the changes I had observed..have you observed any other changes ?

    replies are in bold.

3.5 turns for old ZMA and 2.5 turns for new 2011 ZMA....how i know ? i had worked on ZMAs from 2005 to 2011 for various reasons, and had observed this.My info is actual hands on experience and not hearsay. I am also quoting different FE for different AFR setting..at least that should tell you something.

What problem does ZMA R 2011 have that the earlier versions didnt have ? The changes were to starter , horn , battery and tire - I think that's what psr said . And also the tuning made lean .

Thanx Aneesh - I tried to change the position of a 'quote ' post - It went wrong and I tried to ctrl+z it .

I'm having issues with my rear brake . Vineeth said my rear brakes were non-existent . Since I use both brakes simultaneously with emphasis on the front I hadn't noticed it . Bought a set of ASK shoes and it feels the same .
I tightened the adjustment nut and now it gets some feel - that's all . The new and old shoes looks nearly same - only a little wear . Could it be the brake rod having bend - hav to check it . Any guide lines here on what to check ??

Have put in a 35 W bi-xenon HID in my reflector with glare shield intact . (Will post pics later . ) It's much whiter than my Halonix 60/55 halogen . But due to the shield the spread is not much . Have pointed it lower than normal and the high beam hits where the upper point of low on halogen used to hit . No one cursing or flashing high at me . Still I'm riding as if sitting on eggs. Am looking for an aux light which can hold H4 . Any pointers ?

i doubt that the brake shoes are original or for ZMA.
Make sure to clean and rub the inner of the drum with emery paper. This roughens the surface and produces more friction and hence crisper braking. Also when you get new brake shoes fitted the cam also needs to be adjusted. IMO get it done at a local mechanic. Its a 10 min job.

Even I experience a soft braking from rear brakes. The front disc pads of Nissin is good enough and I sparingly use my rear drum. My RX rear brakes are much better than OE HH ZMA!

                      • I want to increase the weight in the front of my karizma R. I feel its too light in the front.
Can i fit the pulsar 150 handle, it is a little heavier.
Suggest a way to increase the height at rear(around 1 cm) to transfer weight to the front. Can i do it with longer shocks from other bikes like hunk, pulsar, etc.
Please let me know if others too facing this problem.

Bro you have to learn quoting. Again repeated quoting errors.
