not just the pads, the entire brake system - caliper, master cylinder, reservoir, everything. nowadays the disc is made by tata yukita. anyone know if the rest of the components have changed too?Originally posted by DeepakumarU mean Herohonda Stock disk pads are from Nissin?
p.s. the original cbz was all nissin too, i think the newer ones have localised components.

LMFAO ! sorry but that line by itself is just too funny. lolOriginally posted by sheelpriye View Postbend over & see from below
anyways, i bought the nissin pads for my cbz for 1770 too. this was from 'spare house', an authorised HH spare supplier.
the last time i used local (i think kbx or maybe something even worse) pads a couple years ago, i had awful braking and it also screwed the disc. so this time i decided to get the original no matter the cost. didnt think it would be so much though. earlier the pads were 800 bucks.

Not just the braking system, most of the components in the engine too are imported and hence the high cost of ZMA spares. Chosing between reliability and cost. I would prefer the formerOriginally posted by julianpaul View Postnot just the pads, the entire brake system - caliper, master cylinder, reservoir, everything. nowadays the disc is made by tata yukita. anyone know if the rest of the components have changed too?

BTW...most imp part!!..I got my Black Beauty delivered last morning (good day going by the almanac
). Rode about 30km in the city, felt reaaaal good. The things i loved the most was the electic start (super smooth) and the suspension.
Had minor niggles like the rear brake a tad too loose, parking lamps not working, vehicle just washed not dried or polished etc etc. Getting it all done today.

I can bear with the above mentioned as yesterday was a day off at bangalore and no service guys were available for check-ups.
Will post my experiences as and when i have something worth mentioning
.
Guys, please let me know anything specific (not mentioned in the manual) that i need to follow during the running in or rather to keep the bike in optimum condition
.
Me using Shell Super petrol at 57Rs/lt required or regular Speed or Xtrapremuim would do??

More than anything this might be a problem with the Chassis itself, if the accident was major then there are chnaces of the chassis getting bent too.Originally posted by View PostHello Bikers.

"When applied" confused me..sorry!! The issue can be cause of oil or wear out. Do you experience bottoming of the suspension.Originally posted by Rockkyyy View Postshock absorber
Try changing the setting to a little stiffer one. I had similar issues in my Yam long back ago and it turned out to be a weak shock absorber which led to bottoming of the suspension."Bikes + Music = Nirvana"
