          Thanks for the wishes Joey
When i sat down to decide the options i have viz. Budget vs Needs, the Zma just stood out from the rest.
I just hope i don't get bogged down by any delays in bringing her home

          Aye aye Kushanth sir..!!
Will be looking to Pkm, Joel and you for advice as and when necessary. The thought of running-in the Zma scares me seriously.
Its gonna be tough to hold back on the horses

          • ^^^Nice decision Maverick...ZMA in Bangalore should be a same day delivery. You can check Nikki motors incase you dont get it in Prakash. I got mine the same day.

My suggestion would be to maintain 4k RPM during running-in. Manual says 60kmph and ZMA acheives tat at 4k RPM on 5th gear.

I chose Prakash Motors as they offered the best price for my Uni. And the day the funds and necessary documents are ready, i'll ride over to Prakash Motors and ride out on a Zma. They have bikes in stock.
I was actually keen on picking up a 2009 make one, but that doesn't seem to be possible since im not prepared to wait till the three black Zmas' they have, get sold

                    • ^ runnin in is such a pain especially on a brand new bike. I never did runnin in.. one the first day itself i was takin turns at 120's on the airport road but bcoz of that the bike was pumpin out .5 bhp less (compared to other stock zma) on the dyno n the mileage was never above 28kmpl.

Not only selling the 3 ZMAs, as per the HH Regional Office the 2009 models come only by march end or so and that too when these showrooms order for them. The showroom fella offered me to do some "setting" in the RTO and get the Year of make on the RC book as 2009.. It dint make much of a difference to me so i sd "no thanks"

BTW i bought mine just 20 days ago

Regarding the 1st service would recommend strongly to get the engine oil changed and let them pour in the regular HH oil only..!! Btw, you must be already knowing this..

Thanks buddy, i guess that will be done by the SS guys. What about riding (speeds to maintain), distances to be covered non-stop or any other specific points... cos i think the engine is still pretty new and needs to cared for before it starts caring for me.

Well, you can consider the following points:

                                1) Speeds -> You can ride at variant speeds say at around 40 and then progress to 60 and then come back again to 40 -45..which would help in uniform rubbing of the parts.

                                2) Distances -> Take halts for some 10-15 mins in between riding of say around 1-1.5 hrs to cool down the engine a bit.
