Well, the Suzuki Shogun manual recommends 20W20. Changed the fork oil last year at TVS ASS. They used Motul. The empty oil bottle and few other parts that were replaced were neatly put in a plastic bag and returned to me. The Motul bottle label had no mention about the viscosity of the oil. It just said "for motorcycles". I guess it must be 20W20.

Don't recall seeing any mention about viscosity even on bottle of other make, in an oil shop.

That is why you have to check the spark plug at every service interval. If something is bad you change it irrespective of milage of the bike. But, under normal circumstances it is advised to change at the intervals I suggested above.

Deep, You get a 350-ml pack of fork oil from Hero Honda. It is sufficient for the bike. Alternatively you can use Motul.

Yesterday I put Motul disc brake oil (dot 4). It is really good.

                  • I think that if you want a considerable improvement in your bikes braking you can change the calipers and disk to the nissan ones on the zma but only if u have the sufficient moolah only the brake pads wont give a very huge difference

you are asking about something that is not at all worth the upgrade. Honda gave you what is sufficient... I'm surprised that you are not satisfied with ur CBZ Xtreme's braking!!!

Disk pads of ZMA & old CBZ are same but the CBZ Xtreme shares them with the Hunk & Uni. Also, looks like (going by the photos I took) brake pads of the Uni & the P200 are the same and that could possibly extend to P150 & P180 too.

I recently tried my friends CBZ(old) the braking was very sharp unlike my new xtreme which is kinda soft i could bring my friends bike to a stop using just one finger whereas my xtreme i had to press the lever pretty hard it lacks the sharpness.Even on the demo bike i test rode the braking was awesome. My earlier bike was a unicorn(spokes) its braking sucked.

effectiveness in braking can depend on several factors like - Brake pads lining, the disc wear out, hydraulic fluid compression and worse - the Piston & Callipers. Did I forgot the brake lever position???

Mostly it could be that there's dirt between your brakepads & the disc. pls get it cleaned!

                            • Guys, please let me know when does the digital fuel meter show reserve in ZMA (how many litres before actual reserve).
Mine started blinking and still the bike is running on Main (70kms). Confused wether my Digital meter is not working or the fuel cock has gone awry

                              • When the last bar starts blinking, the bike usually covers around 70-80km more till the actual reserve comes. Then, you have to turn the fuel cock to the reserve position. At this position, the tank has two litres of fuel left, though only 1.5 is usable
