This looks like direct competition to Splendor series. I guess there should be something terribly wrong with the calculation or it should be leanest mixture that a bike could have.RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

Get the battery checked from a good battery dealer and make sure the battery is getting enough power for its recharging.Originally posted by swagat.tushar View PostI am facing battery problem in my Karizma R.
Yesterday morning it was fine, self start/horn all were function well. But at evening the selfstart/ horn/ speedo/ odo/ and rpm meter everything stopped functioning.
Its Dead! Its a dry cell from Exide. I put it for charging with battery charger for last 2 Hr but still no results.
No idea about Dry Cell batteries.
Any way,for replacement get Amaron MF Battery.

If i remember correctly then its ETZ7 exide battery in Karizma R which have 18 month warrenty , yours seems to be at 16 month get it replaced by your ASC . Warrenty card should be a page in owners manual check there .Originally posted by swagat.tushar View PostHello,

Its a dry cell from Exide. I put it for charging with battery charger for last 2 Hr but still no results.
Do the dry cell are such less life (only 1Yr and 4Month)??

Naveen, first, I did not buy ZMA for mileage. Second, I don't remember if had checked the mileage recently, last time (some ages ago) thought it returned 35-37 kmpl. Again, I'm not ridiculing others here, but wonder how come there could be vast difference among the same year models.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View Posthow much mileage you are getting sir...and do u feel 2011 zma is little more efficient than previous versions....???
Anyway I'm happy for Ashwin and Vishakh on the FE return.
What's your ride Naveen? Do you own ZMA-R?RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

Actually I am confused between fz 16, zma and p200 ns... I want a reliable machine as i dont like visiting service station for small niggles and that is why I am not inclined towards bajaj but p200 ns is getting rave reviews from all over...still these are early days for p200 ns so no one can comment on its build quality.
Last sunday i had a test ride of p200 ns.... its a very good bike, no doubt about it but a person who has considerable amount of experience with hero honda(splendor, passion, hunk, cbz and a bit with karizma also) and yamaha(fz16, r15 and sz) bikes can easily feel the vibrations from foot pegs and tank after 5000rpm....these vibes are not like rtr or p150 types but yes vibes are there...i think one can get habitual of these vibes after some time but not sure....
Now comes the confusion part again-
I am convincing my friend to go for either zma or p200 ns but he is a bit concerned about mileage due to rising petrol prices....and that is why he is convincing me to go for fz16 or p180...but I am considering only fz16 as an option as I am really very impressed with its styling and handling inside city but a bit concerned about its highway performance....I will not use it much for touring but yes i love long rides at 90-100 km per hour...and when it comes to mind vs heart then I must say my heart is with zma and mind is with p200 ns and some times fz16 attracts me for its killer looks and zip zap zoooom type handling and low end torque....
Please help me a bit if you cansigpic

@Naveen:- I would suggest your friend to be part of this forum by himself. The opinion and feelings differ from person to person.
Also, there are numerous threads on the comparison and discussed till death. I wonder why do you want to bring the comparison to this ZMA ownership thread?
Please limit your discussions around ZMA for the benefit of this ownership thread.
To your question on the mileage of 2011 ZMA - Yes, as many reported the mileage is better than previous version. What's your next question?RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

Thats a classic you've got there. Rideability's kinda same when comparing the CBZ with ZMA.Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostCurrently I am enjoying my CBZ classic (star version) but now me and my friend will be buying new bikes next month...
P200'ns is made to last. MG's touring with it, and the only issue he mentioned was a worn out coneset, which I believe is normal, after this much torture.Actually I am confused between fz 16, zma and p200 ns... I want a reliable machine as i dont like visiting service station for small niggles and that is why I am not inclined towards bajaj but p200 ns is getting rave reviews from all over...still these are early days for p200 ns so no one can comment on its build quality.
ZMA has its own share of problems, never forget that its from the CBZ's era, so they sport similar issues.
And how could you even bring FZ16 into the list.
Even the ZMA has vibes, and really irritating ones. But once you're used to it you wont notice it.these vibes are not like rtr or p150 types but yes vibes are there...i think one can get habitual of these vibes after some time but not sure....
Mileage between the bikes are kinda similar, and in a way, the ZMA and P200 have an advantage. Cause if maintained well they return a good kmpl. Now comes the confusion part again-

90~100 is just childs play for the ZMA.
FZ pulls from standstill even in final gear, but when it comes to low end torque nothing beats the ZMA, cause in first gear if you whack open the throttle, past 5k things'd get so scary that you'll let go of the throttle.Motorcycling Experience:
