Your AFR setting had become lean...Check for air leak in inlet pipe from air filter box to carb, and also in the carb mounting "insulator".If they check out ok, then you have to dismantle carb and clean out the idle jet, which must be having coating on it, thereby reducing the fuel flow.Use a narrow blade screwdriver to remove the pilot jet....blow air through the cavities in the carb...Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostIdling problem is there. AFR was changed by local mech, made it back to 4 turns.Originally posted by psr View PostYour AFR setting had become lean...
Both checked,no issues found. But found some black thing like oil in the manifold pipe to carb(pipe from filter box to carb inlet) use a cloth to clean it.Check for air leak in inlet pipe from air filter box to carb, and also in the carb mounting "insulator".
Ok sir,Will check it soon.clean out the idle jet, which must be having coating on it, thereby reducing the fuel flow.Use a narrow blade screwdriver to remove the pilot jet....blow air through the cavities in the carb...

Hats of to your wife. Me just rode for 100~200Kms as pillion on my ZMA, during our last G2G trip, cause it was dark and I have visibility issues. The total distance was 485.1Kms and I was perfectly ok when I was riding, but the moment I climbed on the pillion seat, MAN!!
my ass started hurting so bad, that I was peeping once every 30 secs or so, into the odo to see if we'll reach anytime soon. The ZMA has the worst pillion seat ever.
Normal. Its the blow by creeping into the carb. It happens with the stock filter and box in place. Lol, just imagine what my carb's condition would be since the blow by tube is directly connected to the manifold.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostBoth checked,no issues found. But found some black thing like oil in the manifold pipe to carb(pipe from filter box to carb inlet) use a cloth to clean it.

A friend in need is a friend in deed......
***
HELLO FRIENDS
***. My name is Mahesh and i am a new member here, though i have been following xbhp for years toghether.
I need your PLEASE. I am in a very confusing state.
I am about to buy my FIFTH bike within my 2 years of biking experience
My bio data:
Name: Mahesh
Age : 20
Height: 6ft 2in
Weight:80 Kg
Build: Moderate
Residence: small town in (karnataka)
Occupation:engineering student
Bikes owned previoulsy: (Now Sold)
1)Honda CBF stunner (2010)
2)HH CBZ Xtreme (2011)
3)Honda CB Unicorn(2012)
4)RE Bullet 350 CI (1999)>>>CURRENT<<<<
I am very very passionate about bikes. I take care of my vehicles thoroughly.
The reason because i had to change so frequently because i could not select proper bike for my taste and requirements
I had bought second hand bullet (mentioned above) 1999 model from Panvel, Mumbai for RS.30,000/-. It was in a moderate running condition. It is U.P registered.
Now for its complicated part
The papers of the bike is in a complicated manner.
1) Duplicate RC book (sheet form).
2) transfer order form with signature of owner.
3) police order form certifying bike has no police case.
these documents mentioned above are present with the bike. And all these documents are in pathetic physical condition. They are soiled
Another horrific fact is that its engine number was grinded and changed to match the RC book.
I did not know any of these facts before buying( 2 months ago). I was conned
NOW What to do with this bullet? do i sell it? who will buy it without proper papers?
the moment i rode a Bullet, i knew that bullets were just made for me. I just loved them. I know DIY ,maintained my bullet with utmost passion and care.
Now........... there is a complicated decision to be made
So at last What should I do?? Sell off at any price offered and buy :
1) Pulsar 180
2) pulsar 220
3) Karizma-R
or else... keep the bullet
my budget will be Rs.90,000/- My running of bike is very low. monthly 1000Km or less. I need bit bit of everything comfort (my height 6.2) , power, smooth engine, reliability, Fuel efficient, and resale value.
Thank you for reading my looong post

Yes I agree. Its a little uncomfortable and we needed frequent breaks to stretch ourselves! I guess the scenery around us was so mesmerising that we didn't notice anything else about the seating part.Originally posted by ashwinprakas View Post

Bumping both Karizma threads.
The ZMA and ZMR have the same chain case, right?
I wasn't able to open the chain cover even after removing the 4 screws as shown.
Isn't it supposed to be pulled out after removing all 4 screws?Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Yes you have to pull it out. First the bottom, then the top, take care while pulling out the top part. You could scratch the alloys if you're not too careful.Originally posted by Divya Sharan View PostThe ZMA and ZMR have the same chain case, right?

ha ha...push/pull is normal behavior I guess - my office half door is nearly off the hinges .. have you seen two people walking on the road ? If you sound horn then the one on the left tries to push the other one and move to the right and vice versa ....lean means less petrol than the optimum ratio (or company spec ) ...rich means more petrol than the optimum ratio ( or company spec) .Originally posted by kaynmantis View PostLean & Rich either means "More air/less fuel" or "Less air/more fuel" ratio. I always gets mixed up which is which
. Don't ask why. I still often push a door when it says "pull"
.
Have been out of touch from the thread for some time - have only GPRS connection currently and it's speed is pathetic . Will be infrequent responder for some days more .sigpic
