I too own a Karizma -R (may-2010 model) from the last two years and its been a nice experience owning it. No sneeze, no cough from the machine, except for a few minor snags here and there which every bike would have.
This bike has encouraged me to have some really wonderful trips including Bangalore-Mysore-Ooty (my best trip so far) and I have covered 30234 Kms till now.. I have not thought of any modifications so far, but have the bike's engine cowl and chain guard removed (broke actually
).
I would love to contribute with my inputs and share my experiences wherever needed.
Ride safe and Cheers!!
Thanks,
Karthik
Do not ride without Chain Guard, since it will lead to accelerated chain sprocket wear and they get dirty easily in open condition .When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

I was inside the waiting room observing my ride, when a short weird SVC mech came up and started observing a few of the bikes that were there and mine was the kinda better looking one in the lot, so he mounted it and was about to take it out when I stormed right at him and asked about his intentions, he acted dumbfounded and asked me whether the crash guard came stock with the bike and then abruptly left. Hmmm.... He never, even in his wildest dreams would've imagined a customer waiting by his ride even inspite of it being so early in the morning that even the service supervisor hadn't arrived.Originally posted by SriramEfunds View PostTook your bike? I'm sure there is some serious motive behind. Do check the bike. This should be complained to HM.
But still the weirdest thing was after I got back my ride with the new cylinder kit in place, I noticed small droplets of fluorescent blue paint on the rear panels and fender, only god will know how it got there.

Welcome to the Karizma world on xbhp, Karthik.
Page number 1234 looks cool
Anyways, post this oil change to a 20w40 again (Elf Moto Gold), I'm getting a better response in the low rpms than before, and vice versa in high rpms.
For example, with slight clutch-slip the front wheel gets popped in 2nd gear
which was not at all the case earlier.
Is this just my phobia that I'm getting slightly better acceleration in low rpms or something technical in this thing?

How's this?
Should one go for it?

A good 20w40 oil will make the ZMA peppy and fuel efficient....sometimes it reduces acceleration and top end ....in my ZMA top end never reduces with w40, and acceleration with 10w or 15 w is superior to 20w...Originally posted by sunny_ View Postsorry, didn't get you here, Sir
Currently using ORIGINAL Castrol 15w40 oil with good result.....I was able to get the Original Power 1 Castrol with Trizone tech, and so testing it now...done about 400 Kms without issues....The acceleration is good and bike heating is also low
Looks ok but how bright it will be in daytime is a big question.... One watt of LED light is approximately equal to 4 watts of Normal bulb....so to replace a 20 watt normal bulb you will need 5 watts LED power.Originally posted by sunny_ View PostTURN SIGNALS INDICATORS LED BLINKERS LIGHTS SET OF 2 PC CHANGABLE | eBay

Take a coconut and throw it at him. Clutch plates last a MINIMUM of 20k on a ZMA, and that is if you keep on abusing it to no ends.Originally posted by siddhesh View Posthey guys today i went to Service centre to do a routine service of my bike and the mech there told me that the cluch plates are gone kaput and needs replacement.he told it may cost 1500 for that..

Loosen the tension, so that theres a little slack and it'll be alright.also the accelerator cables are hard and it gets stuck in between.Motorcycling Experience:

Thats what is expected from viscosity, but this is strange...Originally posted by psr View PostA good 20w40 oil will make the ZMA peppy and fuel efficient....sometimes it reduces acceleration and top end ....in my ZMA top end never reduces with w40, and acceleration with 10w or 15 w is superior to 20w...

Sir, by the way you had told that your city FE was around 31kmpl, I think that is quite low na? Is that Castrol 15w40 synthetic? Whats the cost?
How to calculate wattage of an LED?

Hi everyone.
Do you know which all handle bars are direct replacement for the ZMA.
I might replace mine, and am looking towards something that fits well and doesnt foul with the fairing.Motorcycling Experience:
