Off roading mainly depends on the type of tyres, brakes and suspension you have, power comes next. As far as the suspension is concerened , the ZMA has a softer factory setting. make it harder and get a good set of tyres , then you are almost done yeah the fragile fibre parts is a hindrance for off roading.

If the ZMA can take these kinds of trails , then it can take any road

    • regarding off roading capabilities, I have had a ZMA for four years and done my share pf off roading. off roading does not have a definition, anything off the road is off roading. I have taken the bike and put it to test in some unforgiving places and it has always come out smelling like a bed of roses. to me this is a great bike to off road, very comfortable and the upright stance is a blessing. postign a picture of the toughest track i have evern ridden through and come out without any issues - path connecting Nubra and Pangong via Agham Shyok river bed

        • Sos...... Need help, urgently !!

please help me guys, I'm in a deep shit

I was trying to change my engine oil and this was my the first experience. I tried to open the bolt to drain the burnt oil but in the process it broke , I tried rotating it in anti-clockwise direction (which is the general way for unscrewing any bolt).

Now it is in such a condition that the oil has drained out but the broken bolt is still stuck there tightly and I don't know how to unscrew it. I'm extremely worried and don't know whether the bolt can be unscrewed , please HELP
Life without liberty is like a body without spirit.

Dealing with Deformed Oil Drain Bolts

According to the above guide tap the bolt a few times. Now it'll be loose, then using a flat screw driver pivot it to the edge of the bolt and then hammer it, causing it to exert force in such a way that the bolt is forced to rotate counter clockwise. No worries, shit happens in life.

How good is the new bar performing? I am considering a replacement soon. Remember reading somewhere that the spare ones are not as good as the ones come prefitted with ZMA.

Basically, my ride hasn't been running straight ever since it had a fall. Tried fixing the "OUT" but to no avail. Thinking of changing both the front pipes and "T"s. Suspensions are due for a overhaul anyways post the 45K of run.

Also, could someone please confirm if ZMR rear suspensions are direct fit to ZMA?

It performed just right. However, one has to know how to ride on 'No-road'. In my opinion they perform, many have taken ZMA to get leh'd !

Happened to me once. But that time I was at my local mechs place so he knew how to get it out.

@All: Can the bike be pushed now to a nearby workshop without the engine oil?

Pushing the bike without oil ,in no way harms the engine or bike.

                        • Feeling happy to see the off roading pics and posts here after couple of days. Went to the service center today. One of the staff took the bike and it was at his home . Parents were really angry and finally the owner came and settled the issue. They know how i treat the bike .

                          Here are the damages.
                          1. Right cowl scratched very badly.
                          2. Handle bar bend.
                          3. Disc brake caliper.
                          4. Mudguard.
                          5. Break lever ( both )
                          6. Silencer shield.
                          7. Gear lever.
                          8. right mirror.

All these parts needs replacement . Tank has some minor scratches planning to keep it.

Felt sad to see the bike dirty and dusty. But happy that nothing worse happened to me. Parts of a bike can be replaced but mine cant be .

Took your bike? I'm sure there is some serious motive behind. Do check the bike. This should be complained to HM.
After every fall, there is a saying, so it's your turn.

                              • Hello Zma-ites

I am new to X-bhp- its a wonderful biker community and glad to be a part of it Finally!! .

I too own a Karizma -R (may-2010 model) from the last two years and its been a nice experience owning it. No sneeze, no cough from the machine, except for a few minor snags here and there which every bike would have.
This bike has encouraged me to have some really wonderful trips including Bangalore-Mysore-Ooty (my best trip so far) and I have covered 30234 Kms till now.. I have not thought of any modifications so far, but have the bike's engine cowl and chain guard removed (broke actually ).

I would love to contribute with my inputs and share my experiences wherever needed.

                                Ride safe and Cheers!!

                                Thanks,
