Sir, by the way you had told that your city FE was around 31kmpl, I think that is quite low na? Is that Castrol 15w40 synthetic? Whats the cost?

How to calculate wattage of an LED?
When I bought new my FE was 30, changed the clogged Air Filter with ZEN MPFi air filter ,and to Gulf pride 20w40,and FE was 32 to 33..changed to NGK G Power spark plug and FE jumped to 40 in city...now with numerous carb mods ZMA is quick and smooth in acceleration...I am yet to evaluate the FE now...even with the improvements, I am now looking for more mods without endangering the engine...
    Each led has a rating..for instance if a led works between 3 to 3.2 volts(white led) and consumes about 350 m.a(Milli amperes), then power =Volts X Current....3.2 X 350 /1000..it is 1.120 watts....
The castrol Power 1 is SS.

Clutch plates would nomally last around 25-30k

you can use the cbz( old, iirc) clutch plates. The entire set(steel and cork) was around 400 bucks chillar. My bike is currently running them!

The accelerator cable B also known as return cable is too tight. This hampers smooth movement and the throttle gets stuck half way when you let go of it.

      Cheers!

I might replace mine, and am looking towards something that fits well and doesnt foul with the fairing.
^ do u want a taller one? I find the stock handle really good. personal opinion though.

            A question to all:

Has anyone tried to have 17" wire spokes/alloy wheels on ur zma? Just curious.

I hunted for G power but they say that they are not getting the lot of G power plugs now, only Iridums are available. The boost you're saying is a solid one! And thats the best part in your mods that I trust you "I am now looking for more mods without endangering the engine..."
Can you please brief up the safe carb mods for getting the same smooth and quick response from an old bike? (Mine has done 32k+ now)
One more query, at how many kilometers of decent riding is it recommended to change the engine oil if we're using a SS (e.g. Castrol Power 1)?
The LED I'm getting hasn't got any rating written anywhere will have to check using a Multimeter

Well I guess the discussion is about the interchangeability of the zma and the old cbz. Just a thought: there is a considerable difference in the torque values of the zma and the old cbz and the clutch plates would be designed keeping that in mind. So maybe we need to look into that aspect also before deciding upon the spares for ur bike. Personal opinion, no offence meant!

Coming to the query of the worn out o-ring, ohhh man get it changed asap. This causes leakage which firstly drains out the precious oil out of the crank case and secondly causes a lot of "sticky" dirt on the crank case (outside)- believe me its a pain to clean it!! Hardly costs any time and money, get it changed asap! And make sure u buy genuine spares.

                      Cheers,

                      Karthik

anyone know a really good mechanic for Karizma around Indiranagar?

Used to got to Millenium motors Koramangala. They were pretty good earlier and i had no complaints. but then bike just stopped dead after 950km after 4th service and the HH guys said that it was a tappet adjustment problem. Now I donot mind the bike having a breakdown due to part breakage but i draw the line at breakdons due to adjustment. Prakash motors was worse. the guy there didnt even note down half the problems in the job sheet till i insisted and still half the problems werent solved.

Anyone know how to get rid of the air lock in the petrol tank which stalls the bike. and then gets solved by opening the fuel tank cap?

Guys, Need your suggestions and reviews on PIRELLI SPORT DEMON 110/80 18 inch. My rear tire seriously needs a replacement as its a puncture magnet. Hence i came across this Pirelli which is a Tubeless and can also be an upgrade from 100 mm to 110mm width.

                          • Changed the engine oil to Castrol Activ 4t 20W40. bike ran around 90 kms post the oil change. Didnt find any major difference compared to the oil used by the ASC, just that the gear shift has become a little bit smooth and initial pickup reduced a bit. Need to see how it behaves in the long run in terms of mileage and initial pickup.
