Same pinch here. I have to think for a while which is right and which is left. If say it in hurry, I will end up saying the wrong.

Friends, a query. The chain makes a typical sound on my kari.
While on the move, I feel that the chain slides on the swingarm(or whatever the connecting rod is called). It makes a sound of metal running on metal.
Chain slackness is fine. Shall I remove a link to see the result or do you guys suggest something else?

The sound seems to occur from the front sprocket side.

Take out the front sprocket reverse it and fix (by PSR) It worked for me .Time for a change of full set.

It is a temporary ,short time fix..ultimately the noise will return and it is better to change the complete chain and sprocket set.

Change the sprocket set at ~18K only?
And I thought sedate riding meant sprocket would last till 25K at least!

Depends on which company product. Buy Direct from distributor, Diamond or Rolon next time .Don't take from ASC.

The life of chain depends on many factors like power delivery of bike,bike's weight,riders weight,etc,Power output of ZMA will not be same as GS150R,doesnt matter it has an extra gear.

I am 6.1" weighing nearly 80kb and my brother 100+ kg.

OT: There are busa users who had changed chain at 2000kms and at 20000kms mark.Riding conditions and all matters,just lubing cannot protect the chain for a along period.

UPDATE:-
Adjusted the chain by 5 mm. The sound has reduced by 90%. Shall adjust more if the sound increases. Have reduced the free-play from about 35 mm to 30 mm. Apparently the rest of the noise comes from the sprocket. Will change it after 5 K. I guess using engine braking every time took its toll on the chain-sprocket!

Just to add to the chain and sprocket set case:

I had to change the entire set, first at 13k kms, and then haven't got the need to change it yet (running well post 32k kms). That means the new set is going fine since last ~20k kms, with just cleaned and lubed 3 times in the 20k period!

(apart from regular servicing)
