The max drain is from the Brake light 21W+21W=42 watts...same as the turn indicators, but constantly on whenever the brake is applied. Tried changing the rear lights to LED, but looks pathetic compared to the original lights..So you can try disabling one of the bulbs brake filament( i had done it) to reduce brake light power to 21 watts only...and go for LED turn signal with different relay...just my thought

when you bleed old oil the wire mesh filter will also come out with the retainer spring ..when you put it back, make sure that the filter goes HEAD first and the protruding wire mesh faces you and the spring..wrong way around will spoil filtration and circulation.Ref to the manual...Originally posted by anmol_1990 View Postyup that's why i am planning to get this job doen by giving twenty rupee to local shop. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

@Anmol - Buying from HH svc is always recommended, however, buying the oils from a reputed dealer holds good too.
@PSR:- Sorry I missed to read the thread and lost the flow, can you tell me why you had to change the indicator bulbs to 12v 10w bulbs? Let me know the stock set up. Also, what were you contributing the difference to? Any change in the headlamp/anything else?RX100 1996 | Karizma 2004 | Karizma-R 2011 | RXZ 1999 | RX 135 1998 | RX 100 1993 | CBF150 2005 - 2011

I have this habit of slightly pressing the front brake lever while riding especially in heavy traffic conditions which was draining the batt. so i jus disconnected the connection by pulling out one wire from the front brake switch. Now brake lights comes on only while pressing rear brake.
I have seen many riders riding with brake lights on, this could help them. And even in signals when u jus want to hold the front brake lever while key is still in ignition position.

Note below the electrical specs.
Battery 12V 7AH (Stock many have upgraded to the 12V 9AH rating AMARON battery)
Alternator 188 W
Head lamp 35/35W (Its fine to upgrade to 55/60W even on the stock 7AH battery)
Tail lamp 5W
Stop lamp 21W
Turn signal lamp 21W ( If you don't have the same rating bulbs front and rear the bulbs will only glow and will not blink)
@psr has explained it right regarding the change of different voltage bulbs.
OT : The 9AH AMARON battery is not for the ZMA though. Its not recommended by the dealers but very much useable on the bike.Last edited by Race_Developed; 04-26-2011, 02:42 PM.sigpic

I am merely trying to reduce the load on the battery and the alternator...so I can go for a higher head light power without stressing them...Since my bike is a pre-owned the battery is not in good condition and I am trying to manage to get the best out of it before switching to new one.....also the stock turn indicator relay is mechanical, while I had changed to solid state one which will allow me to put in any wattage bulb without difference in on/off timingOriginally posted by SriramEfunds View Post@PSR:- Sorry I missed to read the thread and lost the flow, can you tell me why you had to change the indicator bulbs to 12v 10w bulbs? Which bike has such relay?Originally posted by psr View PostI am merely trying to reduce the load on the battery and the alternator...so I can go for a higher head light power without stressing them...Since my bike is a pre-owned the battery is not in good condition and I am trying to manage to get the best out of it before switching to new one.....also the stock turn indicator relay is mechanical, while I had changed to solid state one which will allow me to put in any wattage bulb without difference in on/off timing
Is it a straight fit to connectors or need to tamper the harness?

I do not know which bike has it..the Relay unit is straight fit, and changing the relay +bulbs took 15 minutes...mainly because of the screws in rear blinker and side cover unit to be undone.Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostWhich bike has such relay?

It is mentioned as 10+10W 20W unit...but I tried it with the stock 21+21 Watts bulb and also one 21 and one 10Watt bulbs...there was only minimal change in flashing frequency.
You have to ask for Solid State flasher(blinker) unit for HH bikes. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
