If normal head gasket is removed and liquid gasket is used instead , there can be an increase in compression and about 0.5 to0.8 Hp gain..but will not cause knocking at higher RPM..IF you make the main jet bigger...say 130.(stock125)..without it there will be knocking..similarly accelerating gradually is good and will not cause knocking.

I can't fell any increase in hp,i am running on stock jets, everything stock, stock air filter, plugs.anyway thanks for the reply and i will check it after changing oil seals and gasket and will post my findings here. Will svc put Gulf oil if i insist them?My bike is 5yr old,so no warranty issues.

It is not that only Gulf is good....You can also try SHELL which is also a very good oil....If you have good rapport with SVC then they will oblige otherwise you or the mech can do it by undoing the oil bleed nut (17mm)at the bottom of the engine on the gear shifter side, and then doing what is necessary .

As i need to open my engine for changing the oil seals ,they will have to put new oil,so i have to pay for the 1.3L engine oil.so if they oblique me i dont have to waste my money for hh oil,i will buy gulf oil for my bike.need to make sure whether they oblique me or not..

          • Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20W40 or Shell Advance AX5 or AX7 ? Is shell JASO MA2 compliant?Which one is best?I think Gulf Pride 4T Plus 20W40 and Shell Advance AX5 are 20W40 and the ax7 is 10W40,right?

All the oils mentioned are JASO MA2 ...and you are right about the grades.

                • I think after removing the fairings, unscrewing the marked screws will remove the fairings from the headlight assembly. Correct me if i am wrong, its only a guess....

You mean a mod like this one?

To-day just did a 140km trip with 40 Kms in village/city slow traffic condition.Even at 110Kmph on highway ZMA is well planted and gives a reassuring stability..I had filled up for Rs.300/- and had so far done 165Kms and still some more petrol is there .Once it comes to reserve I will be able to post the average mileage.I have Gulf pride 4T plus and the oil after the trip looks like new still...Did a 30 +30 Kms on highway at 100-110 with no heating or other issues.Guess any JASO MA2 oil of 20W40 will do good for ZMA.

The average so far is 34.......165/4.84=34.09....and still some more to go.
Petrol in chennai is 61.94/- per Liter..so for 300/- you get 4.84 L

Prevents the fins from vibrating .

Ok thanks sir.I had bought new piston rings for my karizma as per the recommendation of the local mechanic .Is it required during engine overhaul?I don't have any smoke issue or something,do i need to maintain any run in period after changing piston rings?

Why new rings ? why engine overhaul ? was reboring done or it is just rings change only ?what are the things you are changing in your engine ? why ?
Change of Piston, Rings or Crank shaft related components needs run in of at least 1,000Kms.
