@psr : was aware of this. but had once the same situation when at service someone had poured oil on the filter.....
I thought that this was the same situation....

Yes oil on a paper filter will clog the filter.

If you have tried out most of the possible do jobs to get the exhaust note, but in vain, then go for NEW exhaust !

EDIT: Sagar, Is yours a new ZMA-R? I would go back to A.S.C to find out the issue.

Yep, my karizma is barely 3 months old.
i will go to an ASC soon

                        • Aneesh - Advising fellow Zma riders to go for 4.00*18 for rear tyre is not a good. The deviations from the stock is acceptable to an extent, however, it is always appreciated to give the pros and cons of the mods so that they can make a choice.

1.You have Pirelli SD 110/90-18,Wears out faster, lasts only for 15k,offers good grip in tarmac and in wet roads. Not good for offroading.

2.Dunlop Monster 100/90-18,Offers good grip in any terrain, but lasts only for 12k.

3.Dunlop Geo cruiser100/90-18 ,Good grip in tarmac, many had complained about losing grip after 10k kms.

4.Sirac 120/90-18 ,Excellent grip in any terrain, none can beat this one,but heavy tire, will reduce acceleration, mileage, for sure.

                            5.MRF Zapper Q,Good grip in tarmac,lasts longer ,available in 100/90-18 110/90-18 and 120/80 - 18.

                            Front:

Zapper Fs 2.75 * 18(Stock Tire) good in tarmac ,bad for offroading.

P.S : You can correct me if i am wrong.
Could you please you tell me the cons of Michelin M45 4.0 ?I didn't noticed any cons till now. You mean mods required?

NikhilB,Sorry for the late info, missed a serious thing to be noticed while selecting tire.,Anything above the stock tire size(100/90-18) will require Bending of Linkage Rod.

Special Thanks to SriramEfunds for informing my mistake.

                              • i have zma r 2010 model with M 45 4.00 rear tyre. Its a direct fit ,however the gap between chain cover n tyre is like 2mm which the ASS guys crib a lot during service. i have crossed 1500km with this setup without any issues, confidence has increased by leaps and bounds. Some have even let go of the chain cover totally but keeping the top half is better to protect from splashing of oil.
