get best results in the morning:
fire up the engine with the choke and let it idle for around 30 seconds.
close the choke and ride away..

    • Using choke in the morning is not a crime. It is meant for that. On cold mornings, pull choke, twist the throttle a bit and then fire up the engine. U have to worry if the engine stalls when it is hot.

I'm new and proud owner of karizma r but have some problem while starting at mourning start i don't know if this problem is there with u to in running period, basically the problem is i have to give choke while starting for the first time in mourning everyday. Is it a serious case!
Using choke in morning is not at all a problem. Just open the choke, press the self and after engine starts, close the choke half way down, start riding for 300-500 meters and close the choke(u can close it even early if engine starts responding well to throttle).

But make sure you dont ride continuously with choke on.

Bro First of all Congrats for ur new ride
and regarding Choke i am doing it from past 6 years
so just get it in ur daily routine..however it does not affect engine at all...and if u are using side stand to park ur bike all night long then plz use main stand as the bike gets over and out depending upon tilting the either sides like old horse(BAJAJ CHETAK)

you can also prevent the bike from getting over by turning the fuel cock to
"off" position when parking at nights

and yes using the choke while cold starts is necessary on zmas
i am growing old, but not up!

                      • Do zma's front mudguard cracks or breaks too early as one of my friend has a zma and he said that zma's fairing bolts and mudguard breaks early!

Thanx bro.... Bt theres a problem with my bike.... Its shutting off and i have to rev the engine to higher rpm den let go of the clutch to get the bike in motion.... I had gone to the showroom and they are stating its an "electrical problem" and also, if my bike is ideling at 1500 rpm, and i give a lil bit acceleration in gear or neutral the rpm needle will go in the oppisate direction to 1,000 rpm... Any suggestion??? Can it be a carb problem???

Bro..i had the same problem sometimes back and those silly meachanic at hero honda service centre said that its related to PST(HUB part which controls the electric circuit and its a small black box under your seat and next to tank)and you won't believe that how much it costs
                            its 9K ...
However as everything was superb in bike execpt same issue going on suddenly one fine day my clutch wire gone kaput while riding and got it changed and assured assured a fix to the problem...

indeed another solution ....but dont forget to open the nob next day as it will stall after few meters and may take 10 min to start
