  • I have a question - can we change the head light buld without removing the fairing.
    2. even If I have to remove the fairing , can the bulbs be replaced if I remove the entire front fairing from the bike.

the reason for this question is because my right fairing is broken but still in place and if I remove it I might not be able to put it back in place.

          • So today i had gone to my mech b.c of the problems i posted in the lastpage before this... My mech removed all wiring hid, dual horns and air horn.. The problem is still there... So i went to the svc and the guy there is sayin. To keep my bike all day over there so they can find out the problem.... So i called my mech and i told him bout what the guys at the svc said bt i dnt trust the svc people so i told him tha he should do it bt hesaid thatits most likely the CDI(which is located beneath the tank) which is screwing up so i guess i got no choice.....

i would most probably post some pics of my bike tomm....

I removed the fairing, kept only the head lamp, its got a street-fighter look to it now.
the only problem is, i cant find a place to mount the ballast of the H.I.D, where it wont be seen..
currently im on 55/60W Osram halogen...

              • Ballast can go under the tank , above the engine head, towards the front of the bike.
                I've put mine there.

dont you think that a lil too much of heat.. ??

The ballast that i have clearly states that it can withstand 150*C tops...
and it produces heat itself too..
so im not very sure of that setup..i dont wanna ride on a bomb..

                  • I agree with @pronoy_banerjee. Underneath the tank seems a hot place as its directly above the engine. Don't know whats the big issue with the ballast placement I keep on hearing. Okay I have not fitted it on my bike, but considering the ballast on my car. I think I could fit that inside the fairing without problem. Btw, my ballasts are almost the size of a wallet, small enough to fit in.

Bro there could be two reasons for this issue first of all there is a electric coil under ur petrol tank and other is PST that i mentioned earlier...however one more fact is water or kerocene mixed in petrol (blessings of petrol pumps)
get the tank clean first and make sure u should stay with ur bike while getting it fixed...

So i got the problem fixed today.... CDI was fine, petrol was fine, all extra wiring was fine... The mech cleaned almost all the wires where they would connect except the one where it would come from the magnet from the left side of the engine so he disconnected it, blew air in it and VOILA. Allz Well...... But i spent about 4 hours there which really sucked... Went at 3 and finished at 7..... What a day zOMG.....

                            • Front wheel wobbling(feels like)

I have successfully completed my running in period yesterday ie the 2000kms mark. Though the manual says to keep it below 60kph for the 1st 1000kms, I kept it going till the 2000 mark.

Something I noticed couple of days back & today.

I opened the throttle beyond 60 & went till 70-75 & stayed there till 10-15 secs & came back to 60. Once I got back to 60, I noticed that the front tyre was wobbling & was feeling like it was puntured. I stopped & checked the front wheel & everything was fine.I started riding again & did not feel anything like that again

What could be the problem here?
