Good for you..even i thought initially of doing the foam conversion, but the pores are a little larger in it and had my own apprehension about it...hence chose to use a paper filter which is by far the best for any engine.Originally posted by BOND_001 View PostWell, i bought a foam filter from bajaj for 80 bucks, ripped out the paper filter glued some plastic near the edges to hold it in place.it performs good.

the critical part on any foam filter is to oil frequently. since dusty conditions prevail here due to repair of roads, i clean it a week or so and it becomes good as new.(one of the biggest advantage)

Iirc its possible to upgrade clutch plates and springs but with stock internals you may not notice much changes and these aftermarket stuffs are not that long lasting compare to the stock ones. Be carefull if your hearing any sound in a particular gear. It can be because of the shifter-sphintal(am not sure about this part name but its somewhat similar to the mentioned one) which will cost you around rs300 plus labour and oil charges but this is if the particular part is damaged, if it is broken then it will be a different story. Once broken, there are chances that it can slip to the part where gear is present which will cause damaged to the gear.
or In worst case, your issue can be because of a damaged gear.
A gear overhaul will roughly cost you around 2 to 2.5k(hh svc). Imho go to svc and explain the problem. Please don't think am exaggerating your issue. I did it few days back and had tough time in procuring parts. But i never heard/noticed any sounds though.
Edit- are you sure that this sound appears only in 5th gear? How old your bike is? Such sound will appear in case of a faulty cam tensionar/cam chain as well.Last edited by vineeth aredath; 03-27-2011, 02:31 PM.Emergency Medicine and Management

tough task. You may have to change the whole panel and the bulb underneath it. Yes changing the bulb is possible but that yello surface??Originally posted by krUnIzZlE View PostHey Guys... I think the bulb is normal amber coloured one, its the panel surface which colour the whole unit into yello.Emergency Medicine and Management

Since i had not changed the clutch plates in my ZMA I am at a loss to give you correct info...but I heard Mk is a good make in aftermarket....what about HH SVC. The price of many spares have come down for ZMA so give it a try before trying any aftermarket.Originally posted by vikashsree14341 View Post1-thinking to change clutch plates ..

Your second problem happens after the bike heats up....try changing spark plugs and engine oil..since these are known for heat related probs.
just my thought.

i remember someone doing this long ago on a Pulsar or the Zma not sure though...However one important tip that i still remember is that he disconnected the stock LED(orange ones) completely and added few white(or any other color) LED.Originally posted by krUnIzZlE View PostHey Guys...
