just one doubt, are you guys sitting besid your bike with its front sprocket cover opened ? Just curious because of your instant response with pictures
Originally posted by psr View PostIncreasing one tooth at front increases final drive ratio,ie., you will achieve same speeds at approx.,500 rpm less than before. and dropping 2 or 3 teeth at rear sprocket has the same effect..it is all about ratios..Advantages ? well you will cruise at higher speeds at lesser RPM and bike will not be stressed .But beyond a level your top end will actually drop due to the engine unable to Rev to higher RPM, and the bike load will either lead to clutch slip or engine RPM cannot go up due to loading beyond design.
Again agreed but with my current setup, just like a stock bike, my bike hit 100 at same 6000rpm. That means the ratio is same na?? Correct me if am wrong. The only advantage is that i can use thinner chain(uni's chain is quiet thinner compare to zma).Emergency Medicine and Management

Everyone knows about the karizma cam tensioner problem,i also faced the same problem before, can we use unicorn's tensioner in karizma?is it a direct fit?Karizma Parts Manual - https://picasaweb.google.com/1010125...rizmaCatalogue

Yes the ratio is nearly same. Stock is 13 front and 40 rear, so the RPM to speed remains almost same..Using a thinner chain is not advisable for ZMA since the amount of torque it develops will elongate the chain and eat up the sprockets quicker than stock.Originally posted by vineeth areth View PostAgain agreed but with my current setup, just like a stock bike, my bike hit 100 at same 6000rpm. My bike at 21,550 is still stock....some had used the Pulsar 180 or 220 cam chain tensioner..Since I had not done it so far cannot comment on the feasibility.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostEveryone knows about the karizma cam tensioner problem,i also faced the same problem before, can we use unicorn's tensioner in karizma?is it a direct fit? When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

Bro,don't say it is annoying. KariZma has a charecteristic chain noise (like superbikes)which is due to the fact that the chain is aluminium coated,i think. And itz quite enjoyable.Originally posted by psr View PostNo just the annoying chain noise...reverse the sprocket and you will have peace for some time.Last edited by Jerrin; 03-28-2011, 08:46 PM.

The bikes I owned is in my profile.....Karizma for engine refinement at any speed and RPM,as also stability. 41K. Thought of P180,TVS Apache 150,and Karizma.Originally posted by Jerrin View Postwhich all bikes were in your list before buying?what made you choose kariZma. Chain not Aluminum coated...the chain noise is annoying because the engine is so refined and silent, and we expect the other parts of the bike to have the same.Originally posted by Jerrin View PostBro,don't say it is annoying. Honda engines are all about refinement, and reliability. This engine is still manufactured and used in other countries also. When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.

How will it improve performance ?...your sprocket ratio is the same and a thinner than recommended chain can elongate or break under load stress.Originally posted by vineeth areth View Postyes will wear thin easily but performance wise its better na?When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
