Gives a new lease of life...or rather extends it since the new rings will take more time to wear out than the existing old ones..same run in as new.Here is a look at the spark plug...it is side gapped for improving combustion. The cover helps prevent freshly oiled chain from splashing. Oh yes its not even 10% weight of the stock chain cover. btw its DYI.
