personal experience is that I havent really found any issues with fairing vibrations except over the last year and a half ie abt 16k kms of touring but that the SVC guys here in mysore -Shah Auto are good enough to wreck it ......Originally posted by samarth14feb View Post*fairing vibrations are a common thing on zma, solution is put 2way sticker between the place where fairing inner plastic locks on meter.!

Abt RTR pads- I know people have tried it over the period and are satisfied with the braking, but recently I came to know from a thread ,the prices have dropped to 1k of ZMA/ZMR Nissin front disk pads ...So guess That would be my first option as I just love the stock braking and would like to stick to ittour-master on exile

I just need to know clearly which screws one tightens when he mounts the fairing because those are the bloody culpritsOriginally posted by BOND_001 View Posttry to locate the vibarations(from the speedometer housing area/the headlight)if it is from the speedometer area, then padding with sponge should do good. if it is from another area then you need to remove the front fairings which is quite an easy task though fitting is quite tedious but nonetheless, here are the steps.
1.lay out a piece of newspaper on the ground for the fairing.
2. remove the screws of the left and right fairing and.disconnect the headlight connector(located on the inner right corner of the fairing with a rubber boot) and the indicator wires.
3. remove the right and left fairings from the tank by prying out the lock/stem (located in the bottom left of right fairing and vice versa)
4.stand in front of your bike and pull out slightly the left and right fairings and pull the whole unit from where you stand.
5. u need to remove the headlight completely to tighten the fr middle piece of the lt and rt fairing.
Also When you say remove fairing, u mean the whole,or just the side panels ...Pics regarding the screws( main one ) after removing which I can access the interiors ones would be of great help
... mobile pics are fine

shah motors is good compared to what other SVC in mys can do
i personally have a trusted mechanic at 100feet road who does the job pretty well. And body works can be done by ourself.
*check ur tappet settings, if tappet noise is coming it means its become loose and hence vibrations might have started i had such experience once when whole body used to vibrate when bike on center stand.
Regarding pads 2400 bucks pads are made in Japan and 1150rs pads are Indian Made though company same. both are nissin!CBR 650F <02/2017>

In the previous page, I was telling a guy about clutch cable. It happened my cable broke too after 17k. It survived riding through two monsoon. I believe it should survived longer had it not been for a puncture in the cable where it allowed water to seep in. The puncture seems to have been caused by the exhaust. Anyway after removing the cable, it was rusting precisely where the puncture happened. Luckily, it happened near my house, so I just pushed the rest of the way.
No problem, I'll get a new one. So I thought. Sunday, I went to service center and asked for one. "Not available", I was told. "So when can I get one", I asked. "Next 20 days"
. This means my bike will be idle for "at least" the next 20 days. So I asked whether other cable from other bike can be used somehow. Nope, was the reply from the experts.
I wasn't about to wait for the next 20 days that may even go for a month for a clutch cable, so off I went hunting to another service center. Same reply. No cable for karizma, and was told "again" that other cables cannot be used. Anyway I got a CBZ clutch cable. After all I have already spend roughly about Rs.400 on petrol (car) and covered about 100 kms searching for a cable worth Rs.67 (CBZ cable. Don't know how much Karizma costs). Anyway, I intended to do some modification to the cable if necessary and used them until I could get karizma cable. I went in for CBZ as that seems to be closest to karizma. BTW I already asked for ZMR which is not available either.
Reached home and I went to remove old cable. Found that CBZ cable was a little longer. Everything else fit. And I was told by those #$%@#(*&^ experts that it will not work
.
One observation. The area where you adjust the cable tension with those two nuts are right on the limit. Meaning there is very little room for tightening the cable further. My cable has been adjusted perfectly with some small room left to tighten if necessary. But that wouldn't be required. oohhh! my clutch is so smooth now
